Exactly, this will be BS if Grubby doesn't advance. how is it silly that the person that wins more games goes through? Grubby beat DeathAngel 2-0, and DeathAngel beat Sen 2-0 when Sen knew he was already going through. This sounds unfair because if a player already knows they are going through to the next round they more than likely won't care about winning. DeathAngel and Grubby should have a bo1 playoff for the second spot.

is there any official statement if they the last games are played today (streamed?) and if the group drawings are today (and streamed)?

liquipedia changed group N back to undecided again

Already posted this but DeathAngel played Sen when Sen was already guaranteed top2 spot and there's no seeds here so Sen doesn't care if he loses that match or not. The game wasn't broadcasted so i didn't see what happened but the system is definitely flawed like this. Getting free wins from players who don't care is not fair... don't you think?
He wasn't guaranteed top 2. If he lost vs. DeathAngel and Grubby 2-0'd Devil they'd have a three-way tie. Grubby < Sen < DeathAngel < Grubby.

And again Idra doesn't even give a GG, IMO there should be a penalty for not GGing. On November 25 2011 08:05 Poopi wrote: Lol seriously IdrA? They are both expressing their disdain with Idras lack of respect for other players. Additionally, they are implying that perhaps if Idra took more responsibility for his losses, his game would benefit. You don't see a problem with "start GGing and you'll have better results"
Because that seems to be the most irrelevant factor in determining someones results.
Is that it for the day? On all streams? So depressing

It's done in football tournament drawings all the time.

On the other hand, if they would be to go this way, they could have made the whole selection even before the event started and keep it secret. But that's not how it's done. Also, someone could tell them.

The liquipedia page has been changed, it doesn't say that Grubby's out anymore.

Second place at a tournament where the best people he had to play were grubby and cloud? Yeah he had to play MC but he lost 4-0 People need to win stuff to be considered good? Oz has won jack shit and is codes ro4. Sase has not won one lane tournament. Stephano just won his first big title. Gold medals in lan tournaments are a terrible measurement of skill. Idra has won 0 tournaments in EU. He won one MLG where everyone sucked, and an IEM in china that he barely made it to playoffs against barely any top players.

Why is Grubby placed lower than the person he beat even though they have an equal series score, and he only lost one more map?
|
Lol why do people even bother defending idra?
He doesn´t care about what hsi detractors say and he won´t become your BFF just because you took up the role of his defender.
He didn´t GG, some people didn´t like that. DEAL WITH IT.

does the liquipedia change for group N mean there might be a playoff? or am I just getting my hopes up?

I agree , Sen is just unnice for not bringing his best game... still the rules are clear so cant really complain... i really hate grubby begin out though
Tiebreakers ● The groups are decided in the following order: points, maps +/-, internal match. In case of a three-way-tie of the previous criteria internal maps +/- will decide. ● Would this not separate the players and determine the group. The players will play a tie-breaker of BO1 against each other. The first match-up will be randomly drawn and tie-breakers will continue until the group is decided.

but he wasnt guaranteed top 2. he was only guaranteed a tiebreaker at most. the only way sen would have guaranteed himself a top2 regardless of what happened in grubby's match was if he went 1-2 or better against darkangel.

Group N now shows as undecided on Liquipedia so there is still some hope for Grubby ! We'll see how it turns out but i'm personally hoping for a tie-breaker aswell.
