Once Moon gets out of WC3 mode and becomes accustomed to the difference in SC2 gameplay he will be a heavy hitter in the GSL for sure. Coming from WC3 to SC2 I can somewhat relate to it. I started out having horrible attack timing, tending to favour micro over macro and in general playing like garbage. He's light years ahead of that but there are some small things he needs to fix but nothing major. I'll be interested to see where he is a year or two from now because with his unit control from WC3 mixed with those small improvements to his macro gameplay he'll be very well rounded imo.

wow, seriously, so much QQ, you people have short memories GSL 2 finals, game 7 - NesTea vs Foxer, close spawn on Metal, Nestea goes hatch first (with everything on the line) and holds it...it's by no means an unwinnable position syllogism is sooo right, your post makes no sense. Idra also won on Steppes of War... which doesnt make it balanced

Blistering sands/Steppes of War/Close position Metalopolis 1. Blistering: Even if I think, that idra lost because he played worse than MVP (terrible Muta control) you can see terran friendly points on the map, like around the watchtowers and the entrance to the gold. 2. Steppes Doesnt need much explanation, but u really have to give credit to Idra for taking of a game on Steppes, when he was several time nearly defeated if MVP just controlled his units slighty different (like 6 blueflame Hellions beeing somehow very angry with this one queen behind the Spines) 3. Meta Everyone was like "Finally a decent game" - Oh close position. Like another Steppes of War. Terrible over all...even on this generally regarded balanced map. In my eyes the map was purely decided by bad luck for Idra. Terrible game. Even Ironface Grack looked very frustrated. Overall sooooo many games got decided by map imbalances that it really takes away the fun to watch the games in this Season. Getting a Ticket for the next Season wont be an option until they rework the Veto system or even better introduce good maps. yeah, right, there are some points on a map that are "terran friendly" so the map is unbalanced? o_O jinro showed in game one that nearly every map can be used to each races advantage... you just have to know how.

o_O[/quote] never said Blistering is unbalanced. steppes is unbalanced. Blistering still favours Terrans, hence there are many "terran friendly" positions that are key. jinro showed in game one that nearly every map can be used to each races advantage... you just have to know how. You just have to know how to stretch the rush distance on Steppes of War? Close Position Meta? Yeah you have to know how to position, but if there are just so little decent spots to fight its a different story. Jinro is Terran who are usually the ones getting favoured on maps, yes he played on Scrabstation, which is regarded as Zerg friendly and won.... so did Idra win on Steppes of war... Yeah and the zerg easy points like the easy to take natural and the backdoor..... Are u serious with the backdoor beeing Zerg friendly? all maps are bad for zergs when they drone to hard vs 2 rax terran. shut up with this shit. Its just like the Reapers pre-Patch, the Terran can pressure u so hard on close distance that u have to take drones off to defend and keep producing Zerglings, which renders you expansion useless for a pretty long time, while the terran can squeeze in an expansion without having that much of a problem. Zerg just needs to drone on the limit or is getting rolled by the 2nd push because they are so far behind. Plz stop cursing, I wasnt unfriendly to you in any way.

He did moderately well stopping the early pressure on meta, and then he didnt scout properly and got run over by the timing push. That's his fault nothing else is to blame.

Though ImMvp is one of the best Terrans. One of the only Terran's i respect. He splits marines nearly as well as Foxer, but can actually macro. Speaking of Terran's I respect, Jinro played very well. Good to see a Terran actually embrace macro. Though i knew Jinro would win that, he's been practicing vs Ret this whole time. I think thats going to be the feature of Terran play that sorta of Defensive expand play. + Show Spoiler + Check had shitty maps, didn't expect him to win. tho he reversed the maps which i though he would win/lose on. Mutalisks vs Phoenix are risky. When the Mutas got caught by them he really just should have fought the phoenix. He lost so many in the retreat for nothing. At least he would have done dmg

Zerg won --> good play by the Zerg. If you blame Idra's loss on the map then when he won you would have to give credit to the map then. Are you willing to do that? Zerg players seem to think Zerg favored map is balanced and Terran favored map is imbalanced --> the main reason why I never like Zerg players in general. Back on topic. I am glad Jinro won, he was the better player in the series. Moon doesn't know how to use bling from what I can see. He keeps running those into siege tanks. I am sad that MVP got the close spawn on the final game. His win will forever be tainted by the biased fanboys.

Idra knows how to stop the 2rax-aggression. he was very capable of winning the game on blistering.. he just was way too passive and gave mvp the ability to pressure. if you can establish your 2 bases and kill the backdoor rocks from the terran, your gold is a thousand times safer. -- and if the games goes past the 10minute-mark, steppes is actually a fairly decent zerg map. close positions meta is quite tough though :S
