Weekly Cup Competitions Week of March 30 - April 5Terran, Protoss, and Zerg were all earned gold-medal representation during the first week of April, with SHIN joining cup titans herO and Clem among the winners of the week.

March 30: WardiTV Mondays #80
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/wardimon080.png)
herO took the first cup win of the week in WardiTV Mondays, taking down Gerald, MaxPax, ByuN, and Classic on his way to first place. Overall, it was an impressive run in terms of both in-game ability and final match scores, with herO only dropping a single map to MaxPax in the RO8.
herO's 3-0 finals win over Classic was interesting to observe in combination with his 2-3 loss against the same opponent in last week's WardiTV cup, with the match-up seeming to shift away from the hyper-cheeseiness of the last six months. In fact, Classic's two attempts at hidden proxy buildings backfired on him in two of the games, while herO benefited from playing a more standard (at least comparatively) style (VOD).
The cup was also notable for Clem deciding to compete fully as a Protoss player—not just in PvT match-up. However, his run was cut short in the RO16 with a 1-2 loss to Lambo.

March 30: Monday Night Weeklies #46
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/mnw46.png)
herO earned his weekly double shortly after in Monday Night Weeklies, conquering an almost entirely Protoss-Terran bracket. Lambo, Solar, and Rogue had given Zerg some decent representation in the previous WardiTV cup, but their non-participation in MNW left the bracket painted in cerulean blue and mint green.
The finals saw herO face a worthy challenger in ByuN, who kept his recent TvP hot streak going by taking wins over MaxPax, Clem, and Classic. ByuN even earned a bracket 'reset' with a 2-1 win over herO in the first leg of the double-elim finals, but ultimately fell 0-2 in the deciding BO3 (VOD). Overall, ByuN's play leaned more cheesy than the macro-first approach we've seen from him in recent cups—perhaps a necessary move to keep the best Protoss players on their toes.

March 31: PiGosaur Cup #75
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/pig075.png)
After a Monday dedicated to off-race Protoss shenanigans in both the WardiTV and MNW cups,
Clem reverted to his usual Terran + PvT combination to win Tuesday's PiGosaur Cup (VOD). One imagines Clem was especially pleased to get the win by beating herO 3-2 in the finals, breaking a five match losing streak in cup competition (Clem had the upper hand in 2025, but herO has upended the relationship in 2026). Ultimately, it was Clem's late-game prowess that won him the deciding fifth game, as he outlasted herO with his Ghost-Liberator composition.

April 1: 2026 Kung Fu Cup Weekly #3
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/KFC2026_3.png)
SHIN ended Zerg's dry spell in cup competition, running through Zoun, Ryung, Cure, and ByuN to win Kung Fu Cup #3. While SHIN did happen to benefit from some uneven seeding in the bracket (Clem eliminated herO in the RO8, only for ByuN to eliminate Clem right after), the ZvT he showed in the later rounds was nonetheless impressive (VOD). SHIN's semifinals win against Cure was a demonstration of his solid macro play, while his 3-1 victory over ByuN in the finals was a classic SHIN cheesefest—even including a trademark proxy-Hatchery all-in.

April 5: uThermal 2v2 Tour - April Cup
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/thermy2v2_2026apr.png)
The April Monthly on the uThermal 2v2 Tour went to yet another fresh combination of players, with Classic-HeroMarine defeating all comers (VOD). Actually, the Korea-Germany pairing wasn't exactly brand new—the duo had already achieved some success in the 2v2 portion of the WardiTV Teamleague.
As one might expect from their 1v1 preferences, solid defense and good late-game play were integral to the duo's success. In particular, their narrow late-game victory over ByuN-Solar in game three of the finals stood out as one of the best games of the 2026 2v2 tour so far.
