As Zerg, how can I get the most out my larva injects, so I'm not missing on them? Can I group Queens and Hatcheries together? Group all Queens together?

I have around 75 drones and max at 13:30 with 2-2, macro should be ok, i die to the follow up bio non stop on smaller maps.

I always group the hatcheries on 4 and have injecting queens on 5~8, not the standard but works well for me.

In that case, it's probably best to post a replay. With roach/hydra, it shouldn't be too hard to stop midgame pushes from Terran. The problem with the composition usually is Terrans getting 3/3 and/or a good economy, i.e. a rather long-term problem.

You have 3 main options for injecting.

Individual queen hotkeys "Idra style"
Camera hotkey + box queen
Backspace method with all queens in the same hotkey

for the backspace method you'll want to rebind your base camera from backspace to spacebar or something else that you find fitting (I use Q for my basecamera)

You can combine the last two, backspace method with boxing.

That's how Jaedong does it I think.

Almost 100% sure Jaedong uses camera hotkeys. While it is doable, and easier mechanically to inject like this, you lose precision since base will take you to a random base rather than specific ones. For example say your backspace hotkey is space and you hit space you go to your 4th base, but don't have a queen at it yet you just wasted a bit of time "trying to inject" a base that doesn't have a queen.

Optimally you would like to use a combination of backspace method and camera hotkeys. Backspace is the fastest so when you have 1 queen per hatchery use that and when you have less queesn than hatches use camera hotkey + boxing

Well I guess I was just wrong. It doesn't make much sense to do it that way anyway (I totally used to do it taht way)

You left out single queen hotkey + camera hotkeys.
Pretty common, more control than backspace, only slightly slower, and you get the base camera hotkeys for free.

To make it super easy, I changed my hotkeys so that I have base camera hotkeys on WER, and inject to Q. You'll have to move a few things that are bound to QWER, but not that many. Anyway, then you tap your queen hotkey (I use 2, but whatever you want), Q and hold down shift, mouse in the middle of screen, W, click, E, click, R, click. done. Main benefit is that you now have your base cameras at WER making it super easy to jump between bases for drone transfers, building new bases, gas, everything. Remember to set both WER and shift+WER (as alternative hotkey) to recall camera hotkey, and ctrl+WER to set camera hotkey (like the number hotkeys), that way you can hold shift down while doing W, click, E, click, R, click and will still interpret it as recall, not set, camera hotkeys.

So I recommend anyone to try that setup if you haven't played with customised hotkeys already, and do a few training runs with it against the computer. It is a very short learning curve, and it makes injects and anything in your base, not least saving drones from drop, soooo much smoother as you literally have your bases at your fingertips. I never managed to make a habbit out of fumbling around up at the F-keys, but with this setup I am now using camera hotkeys like nothing (I'm probably somewhere in gold or so).

I'm a high Plat, matching with diamonds about 40% of the time.

I have a big problem in ZvT of wasting a shit ton of banelings on marauders when I'm going ling, bling, muta vs bio or bio mine. Is there a trick to keeping your banes from hitting marauders?

Advice from a league or two below: what about move command the banes? A-move everything in, then control click the banes and right click behind (or on?) the rines.

Cascade said it. To be more precise :
You can have lings and banes on the same hotkey : You A-move everything -> ctrl-click on banes (on the unit panel, not on screen to avoid miss clic) -> right clic on the furthest marine.
One step further would be to split your banes as terran split his marines (but it's more important for the terran to "split dodge", than for you to "split follow").

Or you can have you banes on a separate hotkey, which replace the "ctrl clic" step by selecting your banes hotkey.
Not many people use this since you already need quite some army hotkey against terran (ling-bane / muta / runbys is the most common I think), and it takes additional time to put banes on a specific control group.

Another helpful hint that I didn't see so far :

Do your best to pre-split your army and set up flanks before engaging. If your lings and banes are coming from two or more angles, it's a lot harder for the terran to run his marines away from your banelings.

what do you do against asshole protosses who do early 3rds into mass VR chargelot templar? hydra timings, hydra infestor timings dont work very consistently, and i usually just die when they attack if i try to tech too hard. Do I seriously have to just go SH static hydra until i get vipers and whatnot out?

What you can do is make a fuck ton of queens and roaches and nydus the fuck out of him, either nydus the front of his base or in his base if you're lucky. Queens with transfuse are the ultimate counter to VRs.

If this doesn't work and he's just going pure VR get infestors and fungal him if he clumps up let the queens rain heaven.

How do I beat an asshole Terran who turtles up in his base so hard it's like a fortress? I've had this happen to me twice on ladder. My last game, the guy put up a Battlecruiser blockade at his ramp with Tanks.

What composition is good against bio that is heavy on marauders, hellbats, and medivacs, but fairly light on marines?

When you say ramp i guess you mean he is on 1-2 bases? Some general tips how to deal with a turteling terran:
First thing you do when you see him turteling is expanding and making drones, once you have an economic lead you make an army that is strong enaugh to contain him (which units depends on how many bases he has/what tech). Then you keep expanding while teching up to units that allow you to trade slowly whith him i.e. swarmhosts and vipers if he has raven/viking infestors as well. If you can expand your creep towards your contain so you can add spores, crep drop from overlord and nydus can help you with that.
That is the safe way to do it of course if your opponent of lower skill you can win with mass units from a better econemy as well.

Depends on what your tech path is and what your econemy allows, best thing would be broodlords of course, for the earlier stage you will have to use ling/bane and be carefull on your engagements. In some situations mutalisks can work, it will be also easier to pick of stray units when he has low marine count. If he adds thors you can use swarmhosts but you need to make sure you have enaugh banes around to keep him from a-moving over your hosts once the locusts are down.
