I'm sorry but if they win more than one set I'll be completely surprised. Most teams that are in the season final will try to hide their shit. I don't think you can count anyone at this point, esp iG is one of the most well-funded team in China.

I'm sorry but if they win more than one set I'll be completely surprised. They can probably make Ro8 given the pool of teams that are in groupstage (barring a CLG.EU+Blaze group of death). Making it further than that is, as I said, a matter of who the bracket puts them against (TSM/WE are winnable, Frost is iffy--they probably need to get a little lucky, M5 they won't beat).

I've been saying it for awhile. iG is a great team, maybe they'll even be S3 champs, who knows, but they're not in the top tier IMO.

I mean that pretty much goes without saying seeing as the only non-Korean team I'd say is in the "top tier" is M5.

It's hard to argue that there isn't at least one degree of separation between Blaze/M5 and TSM. Plus it's very easy overrate TSM by virtue of the comparatively weak competition they've faced in comparison. Everyone looks good beating on weaker teams.

I haven't really seen enough recent TSM vs Blaze, or TSM vs m5 games to judge. TSM can be pretty dominant... they should be put in same circle I think. Clg.eu too.

Clg.eu too. Pretty dominant against what? NA teams? Again, easy to look good when you're stomping bad teams. TSM vs. Blaze is the only recent game we've seen where TSM played against a relevant team in another region and they were very clearly outclassed.

many things happen in a game and skill isn't the only deciding factor

Clg.eu too. clg.eu still seems like Froggen + 4 other dudes to me. we'll see how things go, but I think speculation at this point is pretty difficult since there hasn't been a whole lot of recent cross-continent play (that I've seen).

Is that really there idea of practice for a 1mil dollar tournament? Im not going to be suprised if they dont even make top 5. Honestly, even without mentioning that, I'm pretty skeptical that they'd get out of group stage unless they got super lucky with group arrangements.

TSM facing new meta, it's happened before in EU vs NA matches, where one develops a new meta, and it either dominates other teams, or it doesn't work. Clearly, Korean meta was something TSM not use to, got wrecked. I'm sure they're gunna be a lot more weary of other strategies now. CLG lost a lot of fans going to Korea, they didn't stream very much during their stay there. Probably more of a marketing thing, than practice thing.

if someone pulls an m5 or a dignitas and does some amazing shit it's probably just going to be 1 team and tsm can still make top 2 if the entire korean scene has some trick up their sleeve i think it would have leaked by now ^ ya, but they get a lot of viewers, they pretty much started streaming at a prime time where there was a real void in the market (oddone doesn't stream as much, scarra neither, so basically just dyrus and ocelote and aphromoo competition) it also means lots and lots of money and to be fair if they stream 8 hours and scrim 4-5 hours it's still fine, the real question is what they are doing with their team outside of those hours (because i know that they play scrims that they don't stream)

They know how to actualy practice.
