As for skytemple... that map is just dumb and needs to be tuned to last a bit longer, the temples are wayyyy too strong in the late game and the triple spawn is just dumb as it is basically an autowin for the team that is ahead/not dead at that point. If the triple spawn happened in the early game it would be fine but it only happens like 20minutes into the game.
Thanks!
I wonder if anyone is gonna get 1k points

just out of curiosity, are auto-attack-based builds really that weak (besides on Miss Hammer) or am I doing something wrong? For example Falstad has a lot of sweet powerups for boosting your attack damage, attack speed, range, extra damage to heroes, 80% more damage while Q is out, okay base attack speed and range, and abilities that complement an auto-attack-based build (mobility + shield on E, slow + ministun if you want on Q, R can be a great disengage).
However I still find abilities to outperform auto-attacks at any stage of the game, and with heroes such as Raynor I get the feeling that I'm useless. Is the scaling of auto attacks so bad due to the lack of items? Or am I just playing the wrong heros or expect too much?

I don't think auto-attack builds are inherently weak. In many situations they just seem more difficult to use effectively than the alternatives. Tychus for example can deal tremendous amounts of sustained damage with auto attacks if you build him that way but then you give up very much survivability and because of his short auto-attack range it can be difficult to actually deal the damage.
I would guess Falstad works best in a combo lineup where you try to hit a good ult. Other than that he might be a bit weak but he still does decent damage. Unless you're just long range poking with Q I think auto attacks are an important part of his damage dealing regardless of build, you just have to pick the talents that help you fulfill your role better.
I believe Secret Weapon is the best damage talent at level 7 even if you're not building for strong auto attacks. Usually I find First Aid necessary to be able to stay in the fight. Because of that I think it's ok to give up extra Q range for marksman if you want to deal more damage. At level 13 the choice is between Giant Killer and increased W damage. During the 6 seconds W is active (with talent) I believe you have ~10% lower DPS with GK against squishy targets and similar DPS against tanky targets. Of course taking GK means you can have higher DPS when W is on cd. Also GK is more attractive if you go for Nexus Frenzy at level 20.
As far as Raynor is concerned he took a huge nerf to his auto-attack damage this patch.

Choosing between an auto attack or ability build is done by answering two questions: (1) can I safely do a lot of auto attacks? and (2) am I going to be forced to do a lot of auto attacks?
If the enemy team can't dive you and can't zone you out, and your team has a lot of CC and shields and heals to protect you, then you can safely stay in range and fire away. If the enemy team can dive you really well, to the point that you couldn't escape it and just use abilities even if you wanted to, but you aren't going to die instantly, then you may want to build auto attacks. If the enemy team can dive you and burst you so well that you're dead as soon as they do so, then you ought to be as bursty as possible yourself. So you need to be able to look at each team and imagine how the team fights are going to go down.
You should also consider how much attacking you'll be doing outside of team fights. Auto attack builds will have the better sustained DPS, so being able to stick on the dragon or the garden terror or golem or boss, or being able to kill the temple guardians faster or kill mercs faster, etc, can affect your decision. Also if you take a lifesteal talent, that can really increase your time on the map if your team lacks healing, and you should naturally be more effective with less mana anyway. This is less of an issue for Falstad because he can hearth out and fly back in. In the case of Valla, you should consider how often you can keep your Hatred stacks up, especially what the chances are you can have them up when entering a fight.

When more people are introduced to the game, someone is gonna get the 1k points. The reason why it's almost impossible right now, is because you only get between 10-15 points pr win and lose more points when you lose, meaning you need to win way too many games in a row to climb

FNC and WANP are just obliterating their opponents. WANP is 17 kills to 1 right now. One of the greatest team on europe for sure.
And now 3DMax with Tassadar, Chen, Uther, Azmodan, Jaina. This is gonna be fun.

We were getting crushed on Sky Temple because a guy on our team disconnected. The other team had destroyed everything and was bringing down our nexus. We respawned just in time to save it, and managed to take down their team because they tried to stay and finish it off. Then the triple tower spawn happened, and it took down all their keeps and their nexus. This map is balanced.
Sky Temple has at least 3 scripted spawns. The first is mid/top, the second is bot and around 20 minutes all three spawn.
Going forward we'll look back at a game like what you had and laugh at how stupid the other team was to mess up the timings so bad. Kind of like how people are starting to call out teams that don't rotate properly to tribute spawns (since those are only semi-random).
I'm still not sure how I feel about how suddenly that game can end though. It's one hell of a comeback mechanic and triple temples does test your coordination. But is it too final? I don't think I've seen a game last past the triple spawns yet.

The third spawn on sky temple is top/bottom I believe (I know its bottom) so that gives two consecutive bottom spawns right when it becomes easy to do the boss.
Even though you can tell your teammates each time what temples are coming are where we should rotate too...doesn't mean they will. Went 4-2 in hero league yesterday and one of the losses was the standard...2 people get to bottom temple...guy in the top lane starts heading that way after the timer is down, guy in the middle lane ports home to get health when the timer was at 5...other guy decides to fight in the bottom lane and gets 5v1 jacked...
So frustrating...

I think auto attack builds CAN work in certain comps but in general ability focused builds are better. This game revolves a ton around poke and prod and very rarely can an assassin just plant his feet in the ground and just go ham with auto attacks without getting blown up. You have to move around and re position yourself too often for that to work. So it is easier to throw out abilities (most of which do AOE as well and since this game is so 5v5 focused AOE is huge) then dance around a bit to jockey for better position.

Ok so i finally got a key and played my first few matches. I think the game is pretty fun overall (lots of action), BUT it is also extremely frustrating cause i feel like i have very little impact on the game. You cannot carry at all cause of how the game works, which is kinda meh. I have no idea why i should play this in solo queue tbh (which seems to be a problem if you ask me). I only played Valla so far, she is fun. I obviously don't know tactics yet, etc, but the different maps are BY FAR the biggest plus this game has over lol and dota2. Items are greatly missed though, haha

i said that already itt, but one of the better skills to have in soloQ is the ability to know where your team should be/what it should be doing and ping like crazy so people move their asses in the right direction. this is easier when you play tank/meleewarrior, because engaging with valla is asking for death. thus you have to be a lot more patient with assassins if you know what you want, because often times you will lead the 5man team, but have to wait for the tank to engage. becomes even more dangerous in higher levels because people sometimes set up traps.

Doesn't really surprise me that WANP is doing so well. The only two solo q players I genuinly were impressed with - before they became part of the competitive scene were Killercino and Blackscorp.

After these first few games it also looks like the game snowballs REALLY hard, i think every time we got a lead we also won the game. Same for the opposite. This obviously doesn't mean much, but i also don't see why it would be different for better players, the lvl advantage seems to be pretty strong. Will start to watch some streams now, to get better sooner rather than later, to decide if this game works for me personally.

I definitely tried to take the shotcaller role for a while (when I played) and it does help..... but the frequency isn't perfect, and yeh it gets really really frustrating. Personally I just prefered a game where the indiviudal playmaking potential is much higher, and therefore went back to LOL.

It's not that snowbally, but games are often very onesided due to mismatches in composition and bad matchmaking.

Why isn't there a Diablo support... I want to stack my quests!

I don't remember chen being so strong but I just played vs this guy on chen a couple times and got absolutely obliterated.

You need to delete map cache.
default path: C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\Heroes of the Storm (I installed my game on my D drive and my map cache is on my C Drive. what the shit blizzard ^_^ )
Delete that and it will redownload next time you play.

Didn't work T_T. Can play okay on NA server but when I try to log into EU it does this. Weirdly also if someone invited me to a game before i hit "play" and i accept, it works no problem.

Just had a game where we killed two of the enemies. I was playing hammer, and was wrecking top lane on dragon shire. The 3 left of the enemy team were bottom lane, and i figured 4 people would be enough to kill them....Well, not only they did not kill them, they died and gave enough time for the enemy team to respawn and get the dragon. I hate when i get the "win 3 games" quest because this shit starts to happen.
