The two warriors I have the most experience with are Chen and Anub'arak. They're only good as the only warriors on your team if you find yourself with a good team or against people who aren't very good... but they're sub-optimal if you're the only tank.
However, I find myself in certain games as Chen or Anub'arak and they really feel more like melee support units. They both excel at chasing, They can both be difficult to kill if played well (Anub has web blast + burrow charge to escape, chen brewmaster's balance + shield + storm, earth and fire). You lose some damage, but I feel like with certain comps, you gain a lot more control.
Thoughts on either "support-warriors/chasers" or "2 warrior comps"?
Thats because people have the terrible idea that all warriors are tanks, while in reality they are warriors, some are good tanks, some are a different kind of warrior, "support warriors" maybe and thats why they shine.

It happens on any archtypes, except maybe assassin. I mean, hammer is a "specialist" and tyrande a "support".

sigh T.T I wanna dwarf around in Heroes. People always talk about ladder anxiety. But I am only stressed out of fear of messing up and dragging others down along. Stupid team games, now I need to force friends to play with me when the game will be out at some point.

That's not the attitude to play a MOBA, you never make mistakes. Only your team-mates.

Yeah what Dakkas said. Basically just open the stats tab and flame people who have worse numbers than you in any metric, regardless of relevance.
For example: "Wow such trash siege damage you [chosen insult]"

What happens after you reach Rank 1? What do you get from continuously playing? Is it possible to derank?

I don't see why you couldn't. The ranking system is supposed to be dynamic after all.

Anyone have trouble escaping as Nazeebo? If I get stuck solo top or bottom on Dragon I'm in some trouble. 2v1 is hard to run from.

Well after you get Sprint it should be ok. By then you should also have a ton of voodoo stacks to up your HP to make you little more durable.
Before then, I try to zone with zombie wall, similar to Malf's cast entangling on yourself so anyone chasing you has to run around it giving you more time.

I was just playing on Haunted Mines and used a knockback (ETC's) to interrupt someone from exiting the mines. It did damage to them and then they disappeared, exiting the mines. What's up with that? Are you immune to CC when entering/exiting mines?
|
You can't interrupt it as far i know. It's not a channeling, it has some delay, but once you reach the spot and had clicked the door, even if somebody stuns you a milisecond afterwards, you will appear on the other side stunned. Or atleast, that's what happened to me a few times.

patch notes according to this
General
The Reconnect System has received several improvements, which should help players more quickly rejoin in-progress Heroes matches from which they’ve disconnected. The Reconnect System will continue to undergo evaluation going forward, and further improvements will be implemented as necessary with future updates.
Bug Fixes General
Fixed an issue in which players could be repeatedly prompted to reconnect to a match that had already been completed. Fixed an issue that could cause the player to lose control of his or her Hero after reconnecting to an in-progress game multiple times. Try Me and Training modes will no longer generate error text.
Battlegrounds
Resolved a crash that could occur while playing on the Garden of Terror Battleground.
Heroes
Brightwing’s Soothing Mist Trait will no longer stop functioning after coming under the effects of Zeratul’s Void Prison. Fixed an issue which could allow Zeratul’s Singularity Spike to deal more damage than intended when cast multiple times using the Double Bombs Talents. Raynor’s Adrenaline Rush Ability will no longer cleanse movement impairing effects prior to learning the Fight or Flight Talent. Respawn waypoints set from The Lost Vikings’ tombstones onto an enemy Hero will no longer track that Hero through the Fog of War. Spirits created by Chen’s Storm, Earth, Fire Heroic Ability will no longer fly across the Battleground after using their Triple Attack or Split Up Abilities to cross an enemy Zeratul’s Void Prison.
User Interface
Fixed an issue which allowed players to access bonus free-to-play Hero rotation slots prior to unlocking them at Player Levels 12 and 15. Options settings will no longer be reset to default if Heroes of the Storm was installed to a filepath that contains non-English characters.

About the patch, i haven't tried the new reconnect system yet, but i hope it works very well. And the other bug fixed, i didn't experience any of those, but i'm glad they hot fixed them.
I got a couple of question for you guys. Which do you think is better now, Odin or Laser drill?
Also, i've been playing with Sonya, since the patch and i think she isn't that bad now altough that whirlwind gets interrumped is bad, but in general i like her.

I think Odin is still great as long as you can use it behind your tanks or in some bushes right as a teamfight happens. If you are in the middle of the fight not in Odin yet though it's hard to activate it safely. The damage is still the same so nukes and whatnot still wreck people. The drill is interesting but I'm still not sold on it. The lvl 20 upgrade makes it's range unbelievable but it can be targeted down pretty quickly and before 20 it's a little underwhelming. If the other team ignores the drill it'll do some serious damage. I still go Odin in most games.

The reconnect feature was embarassing (really, 15 min to reconnect to a game that i disconnected from after 10 minutes?) but my hopes are not too great for this patch..
|
I had the most unsatisfying/satisfying win.
We were getting crushed on Sky Temple because a guy on our team disconnected. The other team had destroyed everything and was bringing down our nexus. We respawned just in time to save it, and managed to take down their team because they tried to stay and finish it off. Then the triple tower spawn happened, and it took down all their keeps and their nexus. This map is balanced.
|
I have had some of those experiences aswell, on sky temple, you should never commit to a TF under the nexus when 3 temples are coming, you can just finish off the game through the temples, so why risk it, El nexo lost third game against SK (i think?) by doing exactly that.
We won a garden game, where we had lost every fort and 1 keep, and we just defended and defended until hammer with the missile lvl 20 talent destroyed their 2 forts and 3 keeps. Yeah, it was sad and hilarious at the same time, the game lasted 35 minutes.

You keep gaining / losing a small amount of points. I get around +10-12 points for a win (and sometimes -18 for a loss ). The bar is set to 1000 points but I doubt anyone can achieve that, the farthest I went was 200~/1000 or something and I was top 3 on hotslogs EU at that moment.
The points you gain are a good indicator of how the matchmaking messed-up though : for example sometimes you get absolutely destroyed and wonder why on earth you were matched against/with such a team and you lose only 1 point, same goes for when you stack as 5 and roll on newbies : you gain 1 point.
So I'm pretty sure if you reach 0 points you will derank.
As for skytemple... that map is just dumb and needs to be tuned to last a bit longer, the temples are wayyyy too strong in the late game and the triple spawn is just dumb as it is basically an autowin for the team that is ahead/not dead at that point. If the triple spawn happened in the early game it would be fine but it only happens like 20minutes into the game.

I prefer the drill now. I think both serve pretty similar roles now. You pretty much have to pop Odin prefight to get good use of it which is troublesome as they can just run from it, similar to the drill. That makes tychus a hero for me I only like still if I know there will be teamfight for a position after level 10, which is arguably on most maps but not so much on dragon shire and blackhearts bay for example. Odin does have a little more running ability so it isn't exactly the same but it's pretty close I think. Question remains then what do you like more, the laser plus regular tychus fighting or Odin? For me it's the first. Yes the laser can be targeted down but it has nice range and sitting in the back that can be prevented a bit. I mostly prefer it though because you still have your mobility with it. With Odin you are so immobile and a bit of a sitting duck while you are the priority target for them as you are a squishy huge damage dealer. Sure you have first aid and stoneskin in odin now but you are still in trouble when focussed. Before you didn't mind as much if odin was targeted as it was a free lifebar, in fact it was good if odin was targeted sometime during it's duration. Now that just isn't the case. So I found myself in a peculiar spot with Odin, either I used it very early and made sure I was nicely in the back but too often they would just run and my heroic was wasted. Or I didn't pop it early and if I was focussed Odin was exactly useless as popping it then is just CCing yourself for a couple seconds. With the laser at least you just drop it and add a nice bit of damage even if you have to run or get killed. And in the case it goes well, I dont find being up as Odin does that much more damage than having the laser up.
