In all seriousness, very glad no one got hurt. Looking towards the future it seems like one of those situations where something dangerous happens, no one gets hurt, and it may or may not become hugely popular and referenced in the future.

Is it just cause it's cheaper and faster to build ? Bricks major weakness is seismic activity. (Mythbusters is filmed in California - where earthquakes occur frequently)

I hope it doesn't impact the shows development too seriously, one of my favourite things to watch. At least nobody got hurt.

Please, this will help ratings more then hurt them. And Mythbusters have insurance specificlly to cover "oh shit went wrong" stuff like this. I love Mythbusters

Bricks are used, just not on top of faultlines.

Well, I lived in Nashville where most houses were wood and no chance of earthquakes (and really small chance of tornadoes). Wood houses are cheaper and faster to build, yeah.

I imagine this was an accident. They always have explosives experts on hand, think years in prison for property damage that they can pay for is excessive.
