-typical Nortan action sequences that are hard to follow and expose his poor directing when it comes to action -dumb shit like the doctor suddenly being sent to the fusion core thing and then two minutes later he's like "ok now it is a 4 megaton bomb" just felt like lazy writing, ok baddie has a nuclear bomb me understands now -a lot of plot holes like how Bale got back to Gotham, what happened in the end to bane's army? why did they just allow that cop and some other dudes to wander around Gotham, what the fuck was even going on in Gotham after Bane took it? it just seemed like everyone was just indoors lazying around and this made it feel pointless and made "the revolution" a little bathetic -why did anyone want to work for Bane knowing that as soon as you have done your job you get killed

Bane needed to maintain the public's trust in the 'revolution,' and to do that he had to let the officers live - just as Gordon says, if he was to get in front of a camera Bane would reveal his true colors by killing him to silence him and the people would realize it wasn't a revolution after all. I don't remember a single scene with everyone 'lazing around' in doors. They were looting, summary executions based on class by the peoples court, transference of private property to the people... the only scene I remember where people were indoors was the orphans and the upper classes - the upper classes obviously don't want to die, and I don't think a bunch of orphans want to be outside against such heavily armed guys. In regards to Bane's followers; they were presented as the fringes of society, such as cast out orphans and criminal - I think it was clear he was trying to highlight the lack of options for these people - like the kid from the orphanage who they found dead in the sewers. They said he went there to get work, because there wasn't any above ground - they had no choice, and his core followers like the guy who stayed behind on the plane seemed to be zealots who believed in what he did. Anyway your plot hole criticisms are valid but the film was so long, adding all the context could have added another hour to the movie. I just enjoyed it for what it was.

I mean he had time to set all that up even though there were more pressing matters at hand! I thought that was kind of funny when I saw it ![]() I thought he didn't do it himself. He probably hired illegal immigrants to get the job done for him... and paid minimum wage of course. haha...I think it's a good movie guys, just don't overthink it too much... keep in mind it's a comic movie and nothing more... you can find tons of flaws in the comic book itself ![]()

I generally liked the film but there are a few points I dislike or find dumb: - How does Bane even eat ???? - Why have someone with a trigger if the bomb explodes anyway ? Why not blow up everything instantly ? (okay yeah I know that they have to have hope bullshit) - Robin orphans superpower make him know he is batman because he met him for 5 minutes years ago and no one else figures it out - Robin runs around and does virtually nothing, even at the en where he tries to save some people its ultimately batman who saves them not Robin - The cop vs. bad guys fight were they charge against people with automatic weapons ... - Bane died a bit to easy - Batman seems like his back is broken and this prison doctor just fixes him by hanging him there ... - Batman really seems very very crippled at the start of the movie but then kicks ass like nothing ever happened - How did batman get on the island ? - thousands policemen living in the sewers were they are trapped for month ... I like catwoman :D

Also Bane was hard to understand at times. Before the movie I joked with my friends that they wouldn't be able to understand him since their native language isn't english, but indeed I myself could not understand him at a few parts of the movie.

And the ending was actually really good, cheesy perhaps but the best kind of cheesy.

- Bane's voice (maybe the theatre I was in is partly to blame) was really difficult to hear at points and I lost a bit of plot for a few minutes. I personally felt that his overall vocal choice was detracting and made him seem kind of comedic as opposed to menacing or insane. - I usually love JGL and I'm ok with Nolan using the similar ensemble casts for his movie (Cillian Murphy rocks), but JGL and Marion Cotillard felt really stiff and kind of out of place in this. Her death scene was really...terrible. - The bomb plot felt a little bit contrived along with most of the cops acting and dialogue. - I can't remember the vast majority of Batman Begins so a lot of the relevance or plot point of Ghul was lost on me. If that was a significant part of Begins maybe I would have felt a little more urgency or impact. - Anne Hathaway was a stand out for me of the newer cast members. Her scenes kept the film going for the heavy first half. They have to stop saying 'clean slate', it was pretty annoying.

For me it was pretty much like Armageddon, even with the "emotional" scenes in between. The sad reality is that you can't make a good movie with a budget of 350 mil. BB was fresh and good, TDK was good too cause it was carried by marketing and the performance of HL. Sadly throwing even more money and making it longer, doesn't mean the movie is going to leave a deeper impact. TDKR wasn't even good enough to keep me in it not thinking about the obvious flaws with it. And thats the thing with all Nolan movies - if anything he always manages to create a good cinematic experience which lasts as long as the movie and shortly after. Even that was missing for me from the TDKR. The fact that you linked this with Armageddon makes me question your review on the movie. It had little to no resemblance to that movie.

what i mean with that is the fact that batman is completely beat up by bane and 5 months afterwards lets him look like a fool. Somewhat reminds me of a rocky film. Yes it does seem a bit unrealistic at some points but still i think the movie is great and a fitting end for the trilogy. The dark knight was better, but i dont think that the dark knight rises was as awful as some think. That might be the fanboy talking out of me but i mean seriously, theres always stuff to pick on. I personally enjoyed watching the last batman movie from nolan and i am really sad that it is over....

What I liked: - The music was amazing - When Bruce got out of the pit, it was amazing the build-up between the music and the camera work - Batman's first appearance - The ending and its symbolism - The story (minus all the weird classic villian mistakes - ie; blow up the city in 5 months, raise chaos, put the good guy in an *almost* inescapable situation) was actually well done I thought. What I disliked: - Bane's voice was hard to understand. Between Batman's growly voice and Bane's weird voice I couldn't always follow what was going on. - The voices in general were overpowered by the music at times; sometimes I couldn't figure out what the heck anyone was saying. - The twist with the chick and her death didn't really have an effect on me or make me care in the slightest - Blake figuring out who Batman was, in the manner he did seemed really, really silly to me I think the biggest problem with this movie is that it had to live up to the masterpiece that was the Dark Knight. That movie had several less restrictions placed upon its plot, and had a more focused scope, so it was much more solid and connected. DKR just didn't have that luxury to be quite honest. It was the worst of the three movies, but pretty close to on par with Batman Begin's for me. It was an above average movie for sure.

I don't know how is the original version, but I think it's can only be better...^_^ Apart from that, a good movie (if you don't pay attention to some strange details as the "Explosive concrete", which made me go "Errrrm... ", and my buddy who's done studies in Building construction go "what the f*** ?") So the ramp jumping tank/vehicle, the behemoth motorcycle that shoots rockets, the magnetic polymer cape that allows him to fly off the roof of IFC 2 into a specific window, the sky hook plane, the sonar vision, and another dozen "weapons" are totally fine....but you go, "Exploding concrete? Wtf." Seriously. Are you the same person that said, "That's so unbelievable. The President of the US would never get into a jet fighter for an aerial battle," after you saw Independence Day?

But everything made a lot more sense. Bane kept the city alive because his ultimate goal was not to blow up a city. It was to prove that Gotham had fallen, was beyond saving, and the League of Shadows would cleanse it. That's why they let it rot for 5 months. Without people like commissioner Gordon, Robin, and Batman, Gotham would've been destroyed because there would've been no Gotham citizen willing to stand up to Bane (look at the police captain or whatever, Folley). Their desire to act symbolized that Gotham wasn't completely corrupt, and therefore Bane failed. I especially liked what they did with Robin. I like how they made him try so hard, but ultimately fighting crime under the banner of the police couldn't do anything, and so he gave up legal means and succeeded Bruce in being the Batman. Someone posted a long reddit post about TDK film trilogy earlier, and I really understand it better now. You have to remember everything in the movie is supposed to be a symbol, that's what Nolan intended. Batman was the spirit of Gotham that refused to fall to corruption. Him being a superhero is, in the Nolan films, entirely secondary.

Then, after watching the movie I looked at the trailers, I'm happy I didn't watch them before , as they really ruined a lot of the film.

He's like the new Keanu Reeves - one emotion (no emotion), all the time. One second with Michael Caine moved me more than the full three hours with Bale. Also those quasi spiritual yoda moments in the prison...come on. This ! Michael Caine he was excellent and moved me twice in this film... I think that's why I enjoyed even more the end. On the acting side, the worst was Marion Cotillard ( Miranda Tate ) death scene. Oh shit I'm dying ! I better close my eyes fast ! She played that exactly like actors do in dvd gag reel bonuses.
