I ate it with some diced Spam once. It was delicious but then again I have fucking terrible taste and I'm going to die before I'm 30.

Next time I'll use actual meat like chicken breast or something. Usually my roommate buys and eats the Mac n' Cheese plain so I haven't really experimented much.

I'd definitely recommend spicing it up + adding fresh cheese WHICHEVER you may prefer, Parmigiana, Provolone, Cheddar, Mozzarella, and Swiss!

I would probably BOIL it with quarter water/quarter milk/ half chicken broth for added flavor to begin with. Then add a bit of whichever cheese I want. Then decide if you want to variate with either Meats or vegetables. Other than that I'd just add salt+papper+crushed chili pepper or sriracha, as well as whichever spices you personally enjoy, cumin, taragon etc.

Finish with some chopped Parsley garnish ontop and your good ^^ A bit more effort than Mac&Cheese deserves so you might as well make 2-3 packets worth, but at least you'll feel like your actually cooking something worth eating, as opposed to "junk".

I do mine with cinnamon. It actually makes it taste quite good as long as you don't load it up too much.

Or you could just donate it if you really don't want it.

you could try make it thicker and then pop it in the fridge then cut it into squares and bread it and deep fry it.

though seriously pasta and cheese is so easy.
get a tablespoon of butter with a tablespoon of flour in a pan and heat it gently till the butter melts and starts cooking the flour slowly. use a whisk and start whisking in milk bit by bit till it reaches a nice consistency. add grated cheese and finish off with salt and pepper. the mix should be slightly runny since after you take it off the stove the drop in temperature will make it a lot thicker.

mix with cooked pasta. seriously too tasty too easy i make this more than i should and always eat it all. if you have a special occasion (like a girl coming over) you can boil the milk with black pepper corns, some onion slices and a bay leaf first to make bechamel sauce.

A few good ideas here. I like the hot sauce suggestions, Tobasco or Sriracha. Also the hot dog type suggestions. A big one is simply adding a good amount of salt to the water as you put it on to boil. This will season the noodles and take away some of the cardboard taste. On of my personal favorites is a bit of garlic, powder or fresh, it's really good in Mac & Cheese.

You can't make a good meal with bad ingredients.

I like to make something like this: boil pasta, drain it, pour some olive oil, some chili flakes, mix it, then add grated cheese - done. Prolly easier than making instant stuff and better if you use good cheese...

While it's cooking, cook up some vegetables, heat up some red or pesto sauce, and possibly grill some chicken if you're feeling adventurous. Toss the cheese sauce out. Mix all your tasty ingredients together, and enjoy a real dinner.

Cook the mac n' cheese normally but when you add the cheese and milk put in a can of tuna also. It like a cheap tuna casserole. It's surprisingly good imo.

Add a half a can of Rotel. Its basically a can of chopped tomato's , some herbs and spices, peppers. Usually added to velveta cheese to make a chip dip, but I find adding it to pasta dishes like "mac n cheese" adds exactly what is needed.

It really is a bummer though that you don't have an oven, You could add some scalloped potatoes and bake them in with a tortilla crumb topping for another quite awesome meal.

Try it out, I think you will like it.

I wouldn't recommend hot sauce unless your one of those people that really likes it. Hot sauce doesn't work well without something crisp and clean to wash your palate (like lettuce in a taco / burrito). Straight up putting hot sauce on a cheese dish is just really gross to me.

:D Brother where have you been all my life I love doing that too!!! What people don't get that it thickens up the cheese sauce and sticks to the noodles with BBQ on it.

and a little chinese hot sauce that I've found is amasing.
