Benson & Hedges are imports in America? Here they are less expensive then Camels and Malboros, I couldn't smoke anything else then them, not as expensive as the others and taste better imo.

Here in NC, I can usually score 3 promo packs of Camel Menthol for around $10...

I've smoked many cigs over te last couple years....but only with friends at parties and what not. I don't see the addiction in my opinion. I love smoking cigs watching the wall and jamming on the guitar though, but I haven't had one since july

Addiction doesn't take hold until you do it at regular intervals.

My wife smokes and I hate it. I don't make a point of reminding her. But she knows.
She can brush her teeth, chew gum, whatever man. That shit is gross. \
That being said, I love her like nothing else and it really doesn't matter. It's her choice. If smoking were a deal breaker, I'd be a shitty husband imho.
I think it's stupid, but so long as you're not blowing that shit in my face or smoking in a car with me, I couldn't give one single solitary fuck.

Thank you. I wish more non-smokers were such non-assholes as well. Actually, most smokers I know (who aren't douchebags), including me, often go out of their way to not blow smoke at people, even when it's outside and/or accidental (the wind, etc.) 'cause I know what it's like to be a non-smoker. And if I see someone with a kid I literally run the fuck away as far as I can. Most of us aren't insensitive douchebags, regardless of what the general consensus within the non-smoking public seems to be.

Well yes, Benson & Hedges are from the UK so it's no surprise it's cheaper in France than in North America haha, vice versa as the Camels and Malboros brands are U.S. based. But yes, they are amazing, I love B & H menthol, so incredibly smooth with a great but not overpowering minty taste.
Belmont silvers (light) are still my favourite favorite cigarettes, I highly recommend it to smokers who haven't tried them.

Thanks to this thread I've starting exploring tobacco again. I was dipping, but my wife wanted me to stop that. so...
I've tried several types of cigars, and although I don't know much about them I've found a few that I like. The thing I'm most excited about is rolling my own cigarettes.
I met a guy on my college campus today that showed me how to roll. After 3 failed attempts I've finally rolled a nice tight smoke of a decent diameter. I was so excited I had to share. :-)
I'm looking forward to picking up a pipe later this month.
Thanks for sparking my interest again TL!

I pay $5.25 and feel cheated... I would probably have an aneurism over $9

I've been smoking for about 6 years now (couple packs a week) and I still don't like it lol. Unless I'm drinking I just get a very exhausted feeling and sometimes nauseous feeling.
Anyone else experience this?

B&H used to be grown here but recently I think they stopped because of lack of sales? now you can only find them at certain stores. Best spliff tobacco ever.

I do. And I've been smoking for exactly as long as you. But I guess I have kept smoking off and on over the years because of the taste/experience, or boredom, and when I'm stressed it definitely has a calming/comforting effect. Other than that it's mostly the same feelings as you. I'm not sure why I keep going back to it when it does so little for me, but I only smoke 3 cigs a day so it's mostly just for the enjoyment of the smoking experience I guess, not for the nicotine effect itself.

Yea I honestly just like to take a stroll outside sometimes because of boredom and smoking gives me the excuse to do it. I'm not going to just go outside and stand lol. It is also an escpae for when I get the video game rage. But yea it's definitely not for the effect for me as well.
Have you tried different brands? Did anything change? Have you ever been tested for allergies that may be associated with cigarettes?

I do, im not a regular smoker though and i only smoke cigars (which has alot more nicotine than cigarettes). When i havent smoked in a long while i get really nauseous unless im drinking alcohol at the same time. Since you smoke so regurarly you'd think that your body has gotten used to the nicotine but appearantly you havent ^^
I smoke no more than one cigar a month at the most so in my case its a bit more understandable

I get this when i haven't smoked for some days or if i smoke pre rolled cigarettes, the normal ones with filters. Iam a regular smoker but only self rolled tabacco. So i think its just a "non used to" overderdos for nicotine, but its weird if u get this everytime(?) after some years of smoking.

I know people who drive to Indian reservations just to get cheap ass cases because its so expensive by me. Guess you are lucky ^^

I'm pretty sure no matter how you split it 4 cigs a week is not a "few per day" which is what they were testing in the article.
Also, all the study showed was that the arteries of light (few a day w/e that actually means 3-6 i assume) smokers were stiffer after exercise than non smokes, but the same at rest.
So while 4 cigarettes a week is certainly not "helping" your lifestyle. This article mostly shows it won't really impact it at all either.
imo its slightly pretentious to just link an article and consider that a sufficient rebuttal of someone's argument. EDIT: to be fair the title is misleading as well. Should always read the methodology of an experiment, headlines are meant to grab attention, the results convey the facts.
