So how do you attack serbia? Via sea? If you no-cb war on serbia do you get automatic access through hungary/ottomans? Some of the access rules in this game seem weird to me.

Yes, and i only stockpile enough to get to 0, not +3
you use poland to do all the fighting and you hide in their territory tbh

i cant remember which DLC this is (probably AoW) but support rebels is an extremely useful CB for saving no-CBs

Does support rebels work? In the early game it seemd like a lot of income for a relatively low chance of anything happening and in the later game it just seemed superfluous.

you get a CB whenever the rebels pop up so its a nice way to DOW someone half a continent away

and you can support them after they've revolted, too.

Use as much vassal feeding as possible until you get admin efficiency to conquer the continent your capital is on.

In order to get a free merchant from a trade company, you have to have more than 51% trade power from the provinces you own right? Not from protectorates? I have more than 51% in a lot of the Southeastern Asian provinces, but I'm not getting a free merchant because I assume that a lot of my trade power comes from protectorates instead of the trading company. Or is this a bug?

Idea recs for Portugal? On the new patch I'm doing explore/expansion/admin/quantity/humanist, I kinda wanna go humanist before admin since the bonuses help a lot with expanding and controlling unrest.

austria haha, i think the thing that helps the most early is go to war with burgandy, and feed france their capital.

forces them to move into the hre which adds like 5 princes and brings like 10 territories in, so you can gain .13 IA per month up to the reformation.
managed to pass 3 reforms pre 1500, and was at 46% -_-. before i started losing it to heretics towards the 4th

just take religious around this time get deus vult, and force convert everyone.
also eat provinces from electors and leave them with 1-2 for easier conversion later.
took 4 tiny vassals in italy and went way over diplo limit to prevent most of the shadowkingdom though.

actually once you revoke the privlegia you can declare war and go afk, since no country even with its alliances can beat your like.. 800k vassal army lol..

yeah lol, tried to do just that. going to war with burgundy. Even let him release picardy, so he cant use that one either. Do i have to release picardy AND give france charlorais (the one he took as his new capital) and bourgogne? Took Fregrafschaft for myself, probably should take nothing and get venice afterwards

My friend said he released a nation and they didnt switch, i think thats why it happened

also id probably still take the province tbh.. I also force vassal'd all the opm in north italy for the authority at the end of the event, i got coalitioned a few times but with france hungary + a couple more you shouldnt get attacked plus AE drops fast bc of Austria traditions

I did nothing wrong. Mamluks and Hejaz were busy fighting another war so ~40k troops not really useful on my side. Pretty much my 35k stack + 20k vassals vs 140k pissed off coalition troops.

Haven't had an intense war like this since fighting half of Germany as Norway

Talking about HRE: I somehow got emperor as Scotland, didnt even go for it but after France got a personal union over Austra the princes elected me.
Now I never played as the emperor before really. How the fuck am I supposed to get IA? I get -0.33 per month atm mainly because of heretics, but I can't force to convert anyone in the diplo menu because there is not true faith in the empire (I guess I just have to wait for the thirty years war to start?)
As soon as I got emperor I added all my territory to the empire, which gave me like 30 IA but I had to use it for the pragmatic sanction so my princess can get empress too.
Now I am just stuck on 0 IA all the time. I attacked what was left of burgundy and freed Hainaut, but it didnt give me anything. Demand unlawful territory also doesn't do anything besides making people mad...

you cant really do shit if france unions austria the hre is usually a lost cause

you can wait till the 30yw starts, and in themean time force convert everyone you can, if you get enough as catholic i think they proclaim the diet of wein and makes catholic the religion

but with austria force unioned its basically a done game lol
