I never heard of this, this looks sick. I was hyped for Konami's new F2P yugioh, until I realized it's basically just buying cards except online. >_>

I remember I used to have a Blue-eyes deck.

It will always be in my heart.

Dragon decks are actually really good in this format and you could use blue eyes, look up Totem Dragon , Red eyes darkness metal dragon , Decoy Dragon and Burst Stream of Destruction would be pretty good with blue eyes.

I've played a little bit recently, and there seem to be a lot more cards that work with blue eyes now. do you think it is better than red-eyes?

I would say because it has more attack points and because it can be used with Trade-in that blue is is better yes.

I hit the top of the YVD ladder back when monarch control was pretty much the only viable deck type, but I never spent the money to compete IRL (won a couple local tournaments at card shops in my little city). I've always liked playing spellcaster decks with some of their super tricky support cards but back in the day you couldn't make a serious deck out of them. I've been looking through the cards nowadays, though, and with endymion's citadel it seems like you could make a pretty ballin deck based around spell counters. Does it work at all, DocH?

Magic the Gathering and Yugioh are balanced differently..

In Magic, Pot of greed would cost mana, if that's all the mana you have available then it costs you a turn to get that +1 CA. The same card in MTG is pretty much recall which is banned/restricted in everything.. It's "power" for a reason. Free card advantage will always be broken in TCG's unless they use some design philosophy where less cards is better.

In yugioh if your lucky and its in your hand, you cast it. There is no cost... and it's in everyones deck cause there is no restriction on having those cards in your deck(I can have a "light" themed deck but cast a "dark" card. In magic I can't cast a red card with no mountains in most normal circumstances.

Magician of faith doesn't seem super broken too me, but it's probably one of those.. it's in every deck regardless, things.

They cycle cards between banned/restricted every so often.

I got owned by a dragon deck once. I was completely destryoing this guy with my Dark deck. I was just toying with him because it looked like he had no idea what he was doing. I went for the kill wiht something (think I tributed Zerato or something) and he solemns it which leaves him with 150 hp. Next turn he double fusion summons 2 dark eyes ultimate and OTK's me for 9k lol.

I've also lost a shit ton of yugioh Elo playing a morphing jar mill deck. It just isn't the same with book of moon limited.

Anyways, someone duel me! lvl1dmoc gogo

I used to be addicted to the yu-gi-oh cartoon when i was younger, would wake up early just to watch them.

Might give this a look, hopefully its not too complex to set up or understand.

Are the control decks for this game good? Or are they like sort of a joke?

anti-meta could be considered control

dark world focuses quite a bit on controlling the field/card destruction

wattlock

it's ok. most good decks are pretty aggressive with special summons and synchro monsters though.

Take out the armed dragons and put in 3x masked dragon, 2x lightpulsar dragon, 3x red eyes black wyvern, 1x debris dragon. Man Eater bug is bad in this format as well.

add some synchros to your extra deck

bottomless trap hole over regular trap hole for sure, but your trap line-up is a bit odd. i think you'll find more use out of solemn judgment x1, solemn warning x2, torrential, mirror force, etc.

this is a workable start for a disaster dragon though

the biggest play in any dragon deck is using future fusion to bring out five headed dragon. wyvern/darkness metal dragon keeps monsters coming out onto the field.

some other great dragons off the top of my head:
eclipse dragon
white night dragon
light and darkness dragon
cyber dragon
galaxy eyes photon dragon
