The current version of the deck (I'll have the text listed below the image, in case you don't know what some of the cards are): + Show Spoiler [Evol Deck] + ![]() Deck List: Monsters (19): 3x Evoltile Westlo 3x Evoltile Najasho 3x Evoltile Elginero 1x Evolsaur Pelta 2x Evolsaur Vulcano 2x Evolsaur Cerato 2x Evolsaur Elias 2x Evolsaur Darwino 1x Sangan Spells (18): 2x Mystical Space Typhoon 1x Heavy Storm 1x Dark Hole 1x Monster Reborn 1x Book of Moon 1x Pot of Avarice 2x Pot of Duality 2x Enemy Controller 3x Evo-Variance (or Evo-Diversity) 3x Evo-Force 1x Forbidden Lance Traps (3): 2x Solemn Warning 1x Solemn Judgment + Show Spoiler [Explanation] + The main premise of the deck is to swarm the field with Evolzars (or any Xyz monsters, really). The point is to get out Solda, and, if possible, a Laggia or Dolkka to augment it. There are no Effect Veilers or Fiendish Chains in the deck (they're listed in the side deck just as reminders of what I could be running instead, not as an actual side deck), so the deck has difficulty stop large pushes or even attacks, but I want to get the consistency to a point where I can get out Solda before they have a chance to swarm the field themselves. There are barely any traps (I feel that Torrential is really not worth much in this deck, as I almost always want to keep something on the field) and probably waaaay too many spells. Having a turn one Najasho and Evo-Force is pretty much a game winner (it's pretty much like having Rabbit turn one), except if I have no Elias in hand and 2 level 4 Evolsaurs, I can make both Solda and Laggia/Dolkka. Evo-Variance and Evo-Force is essentially the same, since Variance searches out Najasho (or Westlo if I need it). Elginero is there because I want to try it out. It nets a draw, and lets you put away an Evolsaur that you don't want in your hand to search out a Najasho or Westlo instead, which is really good. The problem with that is I need more cards to use tributes as costs/effects. Originally, I had Caius, since it was nice as a utility card, but I almost always preferred saving my normal summon for a Westlo instead. Furthermore, because of the two Elias and Darwinos, there were just too many conditional monsters in my hand at times. A Darwino in hand really sucks if there is no outlet such as Najasho to Special Summon stuff. To somewhat mitigate this, I replaced Caius with an Enemy Controller, meaning there are now 5 spell cards that can activate the effects of Najasho and Elginero. I had to cut an MST, and because I recently took the Diplo in my deck for Pelta (having a 2500 defense monster in cases where I need it is useful), there might be too little S/T removal. The biggest problem I'm having right now is drawing into too many dead Evolsaurs (particularly Vulcano). They really don't serve any purpose in the hand, and right now, the only way to recycle them is to use Elginero or Primordial Soup (which is really just a continuous Magical Mallet for Evolsaurs). If I don't start with a Westlo in hand, or Elginero/Najasho with a Tribute outlet, I have a tough time getting any momentum going in the first few turns. I added the two Pots of Duality to help a bit, but I'm still wondering about the balance of the deck as a whole. Also, Maxx "C" sort of destroys this deck. Solda can only somewhat mitigate the amount of cards the opponent draws. The deck isn't always super inconsistent. A couple hours ago, while dueling a friend of mine, I started off with Evo-Force and Najasho in my hand, so I got a first-turn Solda on the field, with another Evo-Force in hand. I drew into Najasho, so I got out Dolkka, then within the next couple of turns, I drew into Westlo, Najasho, and another Evo-Force, so I ended the duel with a Solda, a Dolkka, a Tiras, and a Laggia on the board. Feels good man. Gorz ain't savin' ya now. So, what should I change? XD

MTG is the game that I played the most, but this seems it be a lot different. To be honest, if you don't feel like buying one of the starter decks and reading/trying to understand the actual rulebook (as it can be quite a lot to take in), obtaining one of the yugioh-related games could help you get started, as they use fairly non-complicated cards and automatic gameplay. The easiest one to get a hold of (If you don't wanna spend too much money) is Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos: Joey the Passion for the PC. After having played based on what I thought were correct rulings for more than a year back in 03-04, this game is what first taught me in a really good fashion to really understand the basic mechanics. It's fairly outdated though, and does no include commonly used cards such as Synchros or Xyzs. If you want something a bit more up to date, then you're gonna have to spend the cash on something like this or this. Another way of doing it, and of course the most economical way, is simply asking one of the fine gentlemen in this thread to teach you, using the glorious platform of http://www.duelingnetwork.com/. I love helping people, so shoot me a PM here or on my DN ID: OneManShow when I'm online and we'll see what we can do. Choice is yours my friend ;-)

But what it basically says is that what used to be called TSIP (Turn Summon igntion priority) is completely gone, and the term 'priority' is gone as well. Some relevant examples: You used to be able to summon Rescue Rabbit and banish it immetiately with its ignition effect before your opponent had the chance to respond to it. Now, with this ruling change, your opponent will have the oppertunity to respond with cards such as torrential tribute or effect veiler (and thus negating it's effect) before rabbit's effect can be activated. These news are really big for competitive play and will change a lot of how the meta works. Rescue rabbit will surely step down a notch and decks such as heroes will step up. For me, it's very positive news.

For me, it's very positive news. The day has finally come where the TCG rules follows the OCG ruleset. This is going to be hard for TCG players to get used to with calling priority on certain cards, like Stratos. Time for double bottomless in every deck Indeed, Bottomless just became a staple at 2 with this change. We could even see more Trap Holes.

Also, is maxx c main deck worthy? After trying it out in a few games, imo its only really good for a few matchups. I find that I can't find the space in my main deck.
