i'd totally do this but all the new shit is so overwhelming. I used to play tournaments every week at the local nerd store, but that was when there were only like 4 sets out and pure 4 star beatdown was the most common deck type i've heard it's so much different now

Basically cards are made to work together now and they combo. It doesn't really matter which card specifically, cause they're all generally suited to the purpose of getting your key card out through a series of cards. Dragon deck with blue eyes is a really good, basic, and fairly out-dated example but the same nonetheless. Also, dueling non-rated is annoying as hell. I'm not sure if it's nearly as bad in rated but people just grab banned cards, do what they want and know nothing of the rules, and I spend half the game teaching them. I can't imagine playing someone with an ego as big as mine that's wrong, multiple times, and having to call an admin for each stupid dispute. But it does feel exactly like a tournament where you do everything manually without the gameboy game doing it all for you. Some guy spent 20 minutes arguing with me that he could mystic typhoon to negate the activation of a spell/trap after it had been activated. His first response, "quick play always goes before trap." I told him to find the recent ruling in a tournament that made it official. He came back and said "well it counters your card." When I explained why he was wrong he quit. Lots of kids. -_- edit: user Tyrant0

![]() I made a dragon deck like a good Timmy. Red-Eyes Metal Darkness Dragon is fuckin' awesome. Once I get to know the cards better and have satisfied my inner Timmy by playing enough games with Dragons, I'll probably try to make some sort of control/counter deck. My best times playing TCGs have always come with those!

Lots of kids. -_- edit: user Tyrant0 I haven't had any troubles with unrated yet, most people I met are pretty well mannered and correct any mistakes they make when I point it out and are patient with me if I make a mistake. The worst I had where duelist suddenly quitting when they knew they were going to lose - but since that counts as a win for me and save me time I don't really mind (even though most people over DN complain if you do this). I'm up for making a TL team and participate in some team wars.
