"Ooh lol Chaos-soldier-of-the-void" or whatever the fuck his name was. I appear in 1 turn and can facerape any monster you put on the field for no cost, problem? I think i stopped playing when those Chaos monsters got banned. Not sure, think i just didn't care to keep up with all the new cards and was kinda losing the fun of it after playing a few years. Also i was like 16 when i played so sooner or later you gotta pretend you are too old for it. Pretty sure my old deck is illegal since it has a ton of OP cards that i heard got banned: Monster revival Return from the grave Imperial command Circle of destruction Just off the top off my head. I remember i really disliked how part of the booster packs were always filled with complete shit cards. It's not like magic the gathering where you can make a case for many cards or some commons are niche cards. Yu-Gi-Oh had monster cards with 4 stars that had like 1500/1200. Why the fuck would i ever put it into my deck when there are 4 star monsters with 1900/xxxx or xxxx/2200. If you ever put normal monsters into your deck then they had to be 1900 atack (which was the cap back then, maybe it shifted). The rarest card i ever had was a super-secret-rare "Vampire Lord" card. I really loved that thing to death back then even though it had like no place in my deck. I just really liked vampires and the art on the card combined with it being super fucking rare made it seem pretty cool. Ill see if i can actually find my deck and post what was in it. Was actually a pretty viable deck back in the day. Only thing that made me really rage was people using that lame as shit Exiled Forces card which allowed them to curb stomp anyone that actually played a fun themed deck like my warrior deck. Ugh, memories. Yata-locks were the bomb back then.

Why are Ring of Destruction, Imperial Order, Last Will, Magician of Faith, Dark Magician of Chaos, and Pot of Greed banned? ...even in MTG those cards should be legal. >_< my decks used always have Last Will, Magician of Faith, and Pot of Greed. :/ so much for recreating my old decks. Pot of Greed... use 1 card to draw 2. How is that in any way fair. Even cards like Allure (remove from play 1 dark from hand draw 2) are super op and limited to 1.

And the highest attack normal monster is 2000 atk Alexandrite Dragon but normal monsters are unplayable unless you run a deck based around rescue rabbit or need them for a fusion, otherwise there's absolutely no reason for having a normal monster in your deck. Maybe if you run an exodia deck with heart of the underdog or some other weird combo like that. I've used A. Dragon in disaster dragon and chaos dragon decks though but I never got as much use out of it as cyber dragon

add me to the list: LVL1DMOC I'm not sure how good I am but I used to play in casual tourneys a couple years back (started when POTD was released, quit when Lightsworn was released) Anyone know how the ranking system works? I understand you gain/lose points for games, but what does the second (exp) number mean?

Then I found out about these but didn't really get any interest. I loved playing those yugioh games (emulator) cus building your own deck was SO fun. I think the game is really great tbh lol. There are some new weird rules but they should be fine... i don't like the synchro idea though, but meh I haven't played recently so idk. Anyways if a lot of TLers do this then I might join too haha. Never thought that there were a lot of highly competitive players using these, but it makes sense I guess, they don't wanna waste money neither xD I guess there is a reward for playing on this then, if you happen to get good and make a good deck you can already have evidence whether you'll do well in a tournament or not, so you could decide to buy the cards and go play in one of them.

Synchos are fun when you do them yourself but god I really hope they ban Trishula or limit stardust, the only thing less fun than having one of those summoned on you probably is playing vs dark worlds

Have you tried macro/d fissure? It counters a lot of decks in this format and you can run something like a macro chaos deck and it can work really well. Agents, Dark World, and Plants have a really really really hard time vs macro since they all rely a lot on graveyard control

one counter synchro option i've been trying is verz monsters who get a ton of tribute fodder onto the field. you spam xyz monsters like verz bahamut and utopia and have tons of special summon cancellation and spells like desynchro. you could potentially run d.fissure in it as well but i'd put in d.d. crow instead. the xyz spam can win you a lot of games with pure muscle usually and against agents and six samurai you can use bahamut to steal their big monsters.
