If you're going to argue the merits of Tom Gilbert, do not bring up a useless statistic like +/-. Gilbert performed remarkably for a team with shoddy defense and suspect goaltending. Shultz is a decent guy but was a lower performer on a great defensive team, playing in front of Backstrom. Please try and sell me this trade.

Good day to live in Buffalo. Kassian should be a good player but I always felt like he didn't live up to expectations. The deal looks awesome for us and I'm glad it happened. Also getting a first round draft pick for Gaustad is huge! What a great move for the sabres.

Which is definitely true, but Hodgson seemed like a solid piece for the future, even if the Canucks have a billion centers.

That first for Gaustad makes no fucking sense to me though. Buffalo definitely had an awesome day. The canucks replaced their best young prospect with Phalsson hahahahah
