Yeah he did.
If this is indeed true, I think he should kick Tevez out of the team. A manager cannot allow his players to disobey his orders.
tevez put in transfer requests last year and probably during the transfer window too, so kicking him out would play straight into tevez' hand. i heard mancini also said that tevez would never play for him again or something? bound to happen when u bring in so many world class players on rediculous wages and expect them all to quell their egos. would like to see tevez on loan but imo he's loads better than dzeko, he needs to start
watching madrid ajax atm, first goal is class
Tevez has zero respect in my book. He did the same on Man U as he did for City. Mancini seems like he's a stubborn as a horse though and will force Tevez to stay on the team just to spite him.
Exactly the opposite. I just watched the post-match press conference and he seems really hacked off by Tevez's ridiculous decision to refuse to play, it's completely out of order, it's Mancini decision. He has said he will never play for Man City again, which is the correct choice.
Tevez should never be on those wages, or play for a premier league club again. He thinks because he was top scorer he can choose when to play, whether he is the first choice striker? fuck no.
Souness is right when he saying he is taking everything for granted, on a 4 year contract for about 200k a week. This is what you get when you buy your team from scratch. He thinks he should be the star player, no-one else in that team.
I think forcing him to stay on the team means that he won't allow him a transfer, I guess Tevez is going to have a nice time on the bench ahead of him (or on the stands) Man City does not need to sell him. I don't know if his contract/the laws in england allow this, but he could just put him into the reserve team if it's possible, which will kinda ruin his career.
city is rich enough to just pay his wages, not let him leave, and not let him play. that would be pretty funny.
might be closer to happening than one would expect, because tevez is seriously diminishing his value through his antics, and I think mancini doesn't want this kind of asinine bs to actually pay off for tevez. so city doesnt want to sell him at a discount and other teams dont want to pay a non-discount.
Hehe I remember last year when Tevez said that he wanted to take a short break to spend more time with his family in Argentina as he was feeling 'homesick'. Turns out he was partying in Tenerife.

Tevez isn't their only problem. Dzeko was apparently throwing a fit because he was subbed off as well in the same game Tevez refused to play. So many babies on Man City my god. I love Mancini's comment about it... "Next game he [Dzeko] will sit on the bench next to me."
there's an enormous difference between being pissed about being subbed off and refusing to be subbed on. the former is common and understandable, while the latter has happened like, never? with a player of tevez' caliber. that being said yea, city have had huge disciplinary issues for a long time now - not really surprised that a club like that gets filled with jerks tho.
Tevez really doesn't even try to adapt to English football, feeling homesick is not an excuse. He's been in England for almost 6 years and speaks pretty much no english.
both Manchester sides below par... Hoping for some good performances, Carrick just isnt good enough... Man u need a central holding player and ive always said it, every other side has one in europe so why man u dont sign a world class one is beyond me..

Yes I agree about Carrick and the need for more quality in the midfield. Right now we've got world class strikers, wingers, and defenders but the center of the pitch is lacking for a club that expects to win domestic cups and advance far in Champions' league every season.
I think our midfield will look much better when Cleverly returns. Though he's not a defensive/holding player, he does do much better with the ball and is more creative than Carrick, which helps defense indirectly.
SAF is hinting that Paul Pogba is our future in the midfield, and he is able to play both holding and attacking roles. We can expect to see him get some experience through the Carling Cup and a few EPL matches against relegation zone teams. I'm hoping he plays against Norwich this weekend, although if Rooney, Vidic, and Hernandez are all out then this may nit be a good time to change the squad even more.
If Pogba doesn't work out or still needs time, I would like to see a quality holding player acquired in the next transfer window.
As a stopgap, Jones has the skillset to play as a CM/CDM whenever we can get both Vidic and Ferdinand on the pitch.
Tevez is a quality player, they would be retarded to let him leave at a discount. The problem with Tevez is that he is a ghetto ass motherfucker who is accustomed to doing whatever the fuck he wantes, which is the reason he was kicked out of Manchester United and the reason why he is probably going to go to another top european team. The price to pay for his skill is by coddling him and taking care of his ridiculous demands. In Boca he did that and he won us many championships. The same thing happened at Corinthians and West Ham. When he got hard ass managers such as SAF or Mancini is when he has problems.
That being said, I have never seen a player with the heart and sacrifice Tevez displays on the field and that redeems any other negative quality he may have in my book.
Salomon Kalou has never, and will never be good enough for Chelsea. Nearly 150 appearances for this clown and he has yet to do anything but score tap ins at the end of build up play from players far above his level. To come on and throw 2 points away in less than a minute is the last straw, perhaps there is a Championship side that will pay 800k for him in January.
Gotta love that substitution; takes out the goalscorer and replaces his with someone who donates a penatly to the opponents the first thing he does. :D
