So if you have a PnR situation with a ball handler coming to the paint, while Perkins isn't lightning quick he's big enough and fast enough to stay in front of his guy. When you have wing players constantly crashing the lane a guy that can rotate with a giant wingspan is a blessing. When players like Lebron are always trying to buckle your D a guy like that makes getting off lay ups hell. Like I said before the fact that he's good at rotating means trying to pass in traffic also becomes a nightmare. But Perkins is only as effective as his team is defensively. Him + KG was just a monstrous defensive front court. Him + Ibaka just aren't there, yet. And for those of you wondering, that's because Ibaka is just not the absolute defensive wizard that Kevin Garnett was. However, the tools are their: wingspan, speed, agility and intelligence - IF the Thunder decide to lock up Perkins, that could be a very prolific defense in the future. Though he is an almost total liability on offense.

He would absolutely destroy in today's NBA as well. I hope that's a joke about maravich, he played the worst defense in the history of the league

GO TO WESTBROOK FOR END SHOT WTF ?? That's just Russ Westbrook. He's dynamic and exciting and skilled but he's the type of player that'll break your heart more than you'd like. EDIT: By the way guys, remember that long useless conversation about Manu Ginobli and Dwyane Wade and how rare each one was? I think James Harden is Manu Ginobli! They're so alike, except Harden's maybe a little more physical.
