F Kevin Durant doesn't miss free throws often. In fact, he's only failed to connect 71 times in 78 tries this season . But when he does miss, as Durant did in the final few seconds against Portland, Russell Westbrook has a name for KD. "I called him Shaq at the end of the game," Westbrook said. "He closes a lot of games for us, so it's all right." (Yahoo! Sports) That is just terrible. Totally unprofessional

Pau Gasol has been playing incredibly this season.. Also, no way Phoenix loses that game when you hit that many 3's, but if you're relying on that to get you wins, you won't go far... its dangerous to rely so heavily on the 3.

The dude's more of a genetic freak of nature in my opinion and raves like a lunatic (I swear I've seen foam around his mouth at times). Freak giant, mad and possibly infected with rabies. Yao Ming is bigger than both of them, but he is troubled with injues. Perhaps that is due to that increase in size? ![]()

Now I'm not exaggerating, his work is truly awful and is a mockery of statistics which is a mockery of real math. I have to back up Jibba on this one. Hollinger makes a mockery of statistical analysis. His analysis is more like "fun with numbers" instead of anything with improved predictive or objective value. I think it was See the garbage for yourself. http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/story?id=4452700&page=1

He's basically just using basic arithmetic for everything.

Great interview. Note to Walsh: feuds with Oakley generally don't end well. + Show Spoiler [feuds] + In 2001, Oakley was one in the middle of one of basketball's fiercest rivalries with Tyrone Hill. This rivalry came to a head in the 2001 NBA basketball playoff series between Oakley's Toronto Raptors and Hill's Philadelphia 76ers. In the 2000 season, Oakley was suspended and fined for throwing a basketball off Hill's head after a morning shoot-around. Before a pre-season game at the start of the 2000-2001 season, Oakley slapped Hill and was not allowed to play in the game. In May, 2001, Hill paid Oakley $54,000 for a dice game that allegedly took place two summers prior. "A gentleman pays his debt within a week or two," Oakley said of the payment. In the 2001 NBA playoffs, Oakley constantly chided teammate Vince Carter and even exchanged words with Carter's mother. This was rumored to be over Carter letting Oakley and other teammates down during crunch time. Charles Oakley punched the Los Angeles Clippers' Jeff McInnis in the jaw before a game in 2000. Rumor was that this was over a woman. Oakley had a rumored run-in with the producer of the 1989 NBA video Awesome Endings. In January 2002, Oakley committed a series of hard fouls against Shaquille O'Neal that led to a fight and wrestling match which spilled over from the paint to the Chicago Bulls bench on the other side of the floor. Oakley was suspended for two games, O'Neal for three.

+ Show Spoiler + -Charles Oakley slapped Charles Barkley across the face during a player’s union meeting. “I heard what he was saying about me in Atlantic City and I didn’t like it. I’m fed up with him. I told him ‘You need to change your name. I’m the only Charles.’” Oakley finished by telling Barkley, “Every time I see you, I’m going to slap you.” -In a basketball game after the slap, Oakley threw Barkley to the floor. Barkley got up swinging and the two were separated. Post-game, Clyde Drexler called Oak a “dirty player.” Oakley responded by saying, “He [Drexler] can blow me.”
