What? Neither has a reliable post game at all. Shutting down the Lakers in the paint does not happen, shutting down the Heat in the paint...that is how you beat them.
i think most people are thinking run n gun layups and dunks rather than true posting
The Heat are great in transition, those aren't true "points in the paint." It doesn't all have to be back to the basket stuff either. That being said, the Heat only get PitP from drives/penetration. That is ~40% of what a solid interior team does. They still need work on posting up, and on backdoor cuts.
This probably isn't as relevant for this thread as it will be for next season's but now that the Pistons have been sold, the new owner is keeping Dumars. I think it's a good move, as his hands have been tied with Davidson's death and the possible sale of the team.
looks like the Perkins trade took a deep shock in their Chemistry.... On the other side i will have OKC on the List now, better watch out on them. But who knows its all decided in the Playoffs, nothing else counts tbh.

lets get realistic here =) even if you get past the lakers, you really think they can take OKC spurs or dallas in a bo7?
Now that the east is set. Time for some predictions.
Chicago vs. Indiana: Bulls streamroll. Indiana extremely lucky to take a game. 4-0 Miami vs. Philadelphia: Philly will take a game. 4-1 Boston vs. New York: NY will take a game, maybe 2. 4-1 Orlando vs. Atlanta: Floundering hawks will flounder. 4-2
Chicago vs. Orlando: Orlando will grab 2 games but they can't beat the bulls. 4-2 Boston vs. Miami: This will go the distance. I say Boston. 4-3
Chicago vs. Indiana: 4-0 - ez pz Miami vs. Philadelphia: 4-2 - wing defendor Boston vs. New York: 4-1 - these numbers directly relate to the number of winners on the team Orlando vs. Atlanta: 4-1 - Dwight too big too strong too long too deep ~
Chicago vs. Orlando: 4-3 - Orlando can easily take three games if they are shooting three balls Boston vs. Miami: 4-2 - Wing defendors + interior strength
Chi-Ind: 4-2, Indiana proves something Mia-Phi: 4-3, Phi wins games they have no business winning Bos-NY: 4-0, NY will collapse/implode in the face of trouble Orl-Atl: 4-2, Orl has lolgames at times

I'll post more when the 2nd rounds are decided.
You can't do that! Gotta make those predictions ahead of time or they aren't legit. I may want to change my mind on some after seeing them play in the playoffs but I can't because I've already made all my predictions .

Personally speaking, I really don't care for statistics. Just numbers imo. Anything can happen in sports. I don't like saying this team will beat that team, that team will beat this team.
The best thing to do with sports, is to watch it, and then discuss it afterwards. Predicting who will win can only lead to arguments with others, where's the fun in that?
Did Wafer celebrate after that missed dunk thinking he had made it?!?!
Chi-Ind, 4-0. No contest. Mia-Phi, 4-1. Philly will take a game at home (maybe 2) but Miami way too strong. Bos-NYC, 4-1. I'll give NY a home win, but can't see them troubling the Celts too much. Orl-Atl, 4-0. You'd think Atlanta has something to prove after last year but, alas, I expect another meek capitulation from a meek team.
Then: Chi>Orl. Should be an awesome series. Mia>Bos. See above.
Mia>Chi. East is going to be so cool once the first round is over.
Portland wrapped up 6th spot today, so we have for now (I think?): OKC-Den, 4-2. I like Denver a lot post Melo, but I like OKC more. They'll go close to winning the West.
I'm guessing the other likely series will be: SAS v NO. 4-1 to SAS. Probably 4-0 but I have a soft spot for the Buzz. LA v Mem. 4-2. Memphis is a bit of a darkhorse but Lakers still too tough. Dal v Por. 2-4. Dallas the perennial bridesmaid will crash out in the first round. Again. Not a complete Dallas bash though as I actually rate Portland a bit, particularly since they added Wallace and Roy is contributing solidly.

That being said, GO ORL! DWIGHT FTW~!
Actually if you believe in anything can happen, you should trust numbers more than intuition. Numbers will never say the Lakers will always win in the playoffs vs an inferior team. A person that doesn't care for numbers would probably bet the Lakers would win over 90% of the time, whereas most simulators will give them more like 60-70%.
People's intuition never guessed Orlando would beat the Cavs two years ago.
