But in saying that, I do think they are the 3rd best team in the West and more than capable of beating the Spurs and Lakers. Probable? No. Possible? Definitely!

Personally speaking, I really don't care for statistics. Just numbers imo. Anything can happen in sports. I don't like saying this team will beat that team, that team will beat this team.
The best thing to do with sports, is to watch it, and then discuss it afterwards. Predicting who will win can only lead to arguments with others, where's the fun in that?
That being said, GO ORL! DWIGHT FTW~!
People's intuition never guessed Orlando would beat the Cavs two years ago.
Not true, even the insufferable Skip Bayless predicted that. Dwight is obviously a hard counter to Lebron.
The cook at my fraternity is an enormous Pacers fan and I bet him $10 even money on the result of Bulls-Pacers. I feel like I'm taking advantage of him...
This made me lol quite a lot and i hope you're not serious because if you are i will lol a lot harder
Have you been following the NBA? The Lakers have been crumbling, OKC surging w/ Perkins, and the Spurs are certainly beatable.
Nothing crazy about that prediction.
I don't even know where to begin with this stupid statement.... There is no way OKC is going to beat the spurs when the spurs will get more days rest after beating the hornets 4-0 or 4-1, OKC will most likely go 4-2 or 4-3 against denver. Those days rest is whats going to count. Plus the spurs are better PERIOD. IF OKC some how pull that off, they wont get past the Lakers, because lets face it, getting past the lakers in the playoffs is a fantasy for OKC, LAL have way to much experience in playoff mode, OKC is going to crumble because of 2 reasons, 1) they are not better than either of these teams, hell they're barely better than denver and 2) they are inexperienced and will not be able to handle the pressure of LAL and SAS.

OKC did better than i expected against LAL last year playoffs, they improved this year, and also have perkins. I definitely think it's possible, but like someone else said, not probable

Wait is he betting the Pacers will win? I'm a huge Pacers fan, but I would be happy with just winning one game, which is entirely possible.

OKC winning isn't a stupid statement at all. The Lakers aren't playing great right now. OKC has been doing rather well with Perkins. Plus LA might be without Bynum. He most likely won't be at 100% and that is going to hurt LA a lot in the playoffs.
The Spurs are a great team, but they are old. They need those extra days off way more than a young team like OKC does. OKC is a very talented team that will win titles soon. I don't really think its this year, but all the talent is already there. Don't forget they beat the Lakers twice in the playoffs last year. And that Laker team was better than this years. And this OKC team is better than last years. They are an incredibly talented team that can win against any team in this league. In no way is it a stupid statement.
Between the Lakers and Spurs, I think the Lakers have a better chance of taking out OKC. OKC is simply too young for their older players to keep up in a series.
Lakers have to lose to Sacramento and Dallas must win over the Hornets in order for Dallas to take teh 2nd seed.
It doesn't look like this video has been posted yet, so I must share:
If anyone has videos of equally terrifying dunks, please share. I watched this one about ten times yesterday morning. ITS INSANE. I can't believe how close the announcer came to saying "Hide your kids, hide your wives..".

Did this guy read my post? Just because the lakers lose 5 games that means they're terrible now? i hate the lakers with a passion but to say that is sooooo dumb. Perkins is my favourite centre in the entire league and has been the past 2 years, but he is not better than gasol, Spurs are a better team than OKC and the spurs will have more time off to rest and that right there is the key, even if they didnt rest they would still win, they will take the series like 4-1 MAYBE 4-2 please re read my post, i dont like repeating myself.
A bunch of teams in the west are going to take each other out before a team in the East probably wins because of it. Nooo one in the west even knows (or will) who they are playing in the playoffs untill like 10 PM West Coast time tonight. OkC could play Portland. Portland could play Dallas or the Lakers. Its a freakin mess. Any team that gets out of round 1 in less than 6 games is probably doing themselves a huge favor later on in the playoffs.

Pretty sure Portland is set as the no. 6 seed. Memphis is trying to tank so they'll have the no. 8 seed. Hornets are trying to tank as well but they have the tiebreaker over the Grizzlies so they are going to be stuck with no. 7 should both teams lose. Of course, should New Orleans lose to Dallas, they could still get the Mavs if the Lakers lose against the Kings.
