i need 1 defensive gem

which one would be better for necromancer ? Esoteric or Molten ? i do lack health regen besides devour/consume but the only shit that really kills me being so afar from enemies are those motlen/frozen/etc... skills which esoteric would fix quite great

Esoteric will almost always be better the higher the difficulty you go.
Average means I'm better than half of you.

I usually love Molten in previous seasons but for some reason I just can't feel the effect as much on my necro. 5-10% per second isn't terrible but since necros spend HP to cast some abilities and in general are SO soft, big regen doesn't outrace the incoming damage. I've been going esoteric for GRs and full blown offense for speed/torment.

The one thing that puts me off D3 is how really essential items like RoRG and Avarice Band are only droppable from bounties, playing solo it's really tiring to grind bounties for hours :C

Well RoRG almost always goes in cube, and if it doesn't I'd rather farm that than pray for a randomly dropped or gambled decent roll ring like compass rose or focus/restraint, SoJ, etc.

I dropped two RoRGs today, so that's off the list, now I only need the Avarice Band and I'm done with bounty grinding. For my helltooth WD I still need Sacred Harvester, Traveler's Pledge, and the elusive Tasker and Theo. I've already dropped thousands of bloodshards to Kadala and still no T&T smh. I did get like 10 Zuni gloves and 7 Jade gloves tho >.>

i just did my first of my supposedly RoRG farm, first try...

and got a primal one with socket lmao

problem ? i dont see a single necro build that would use rorg

There are a few but they aren't "meta" or much better than anything else. Just different options for fun/flavor.

did bounty runs die off or something changed? when i used to play there were always ppl doing bounty runs in pubs

Interesting. Developers being picky about adding a dodge or not but the items in the original were trash and utterly boring, yet it got released in that state?
EDIT: items in expansion are terrible lazy designed aswell.


Other designers pointed out that offering an evade feature would diminish the impact of items that boosted players’ movement speed—a concept from Diablo II—therefore making the game less rewarding in the long term.

Yet again something interesting. Movement is pretty lame overall in diablo 3, yet they argue about movement of all things? How about items? Making players use creativity? Cough*Cooldowns*Cough.
Also seemed happy about the passive skills...
The endgame=endless grind. Could atleast added some sort of leaderboard with skill involved. But they probably dont want to do that since they know player freedom is so restricted and skill is about getting a higher strength weapon than you already have in the game.

The challange rifts are purely skill based but the leaderboard is not permanent.
Would be cool if they added all times together for an overall leaderboard and reset every season.

The Monk one was just awful. I get the idea is "skill based" but I'm not going to take the time to refine the playstyle of a horrible, unfun skill build.

I'm cool with them using some non-cookie cutter builds but god there needs to be some kind of system to weed out garbage like that.

Yeah I don't mind the idea of challenge rifts but these very random, half-finished builds are not fun. Kooky ideas are neat. "Challenging" everyone to race a GR32 with 3 set pieces and no movement spells isn't. Find us crazy or unique builds to play, there are plenty of people that love niche builds and don't care what GR level they can do. Hell they used to feature them on the d3 bnet page/client, "Play your way" or whatever?

I got a LoN Necro build that is currently at GR55, he could maybe be a good choice for that

He probably still need some tuning and a bit better gear but at least he is different and work ok... and no one els eplay that build (I think).

Use Necromancer because it is better

I just started up a monk (level 47) in softcore. I've never unlocked the extra stash tabs through seasons but I'm going to try to this season. I've gotten all the way through the first set of objectives after the main 4 chapters, but it just seems to take forever to push further than that fifth chapter. Any tips for making this seasons a successful one that nets me the stash tab?
