Anyone have recommendation on which will be faster for the "fresh" 70 torment farming (mats, bounties, etc)? Firebird Wiz or Invoker Sader? If one is clearly better that pretty much decides it for me, because those first few hours after dinging 70 can be brutal with the wrong classes. I don't know off the top of my head which sets are going to be gifted to the other classes but I've heard several times that some of them will have a much slower start than others, at least for playing solo. Don't want to fall into that trap again.

Skimming through the official patch notes I feel a huge urge to go with Crusader instead of DH as LON creates a really viable Captain America (=most visually pleasing way to play diablo) build. As you Duka I expect to have both of the classes at max level within two weeks. Might level a gem of ease to start with that I can afterwards use to augment an item.

Wiz seems to be the popular vote for solo GR progression. DHs up there too I think. Not sure about groups. This post is mostly what I've been going off of. Tons of info. As per the past several seasons barb is always a safe bet all around, but wiz and sader are getting a lot of love in s5, probably also safe. Wiz is my favorite class and I'll be rolling one regardless. I just haven't decided if I want to start one immediately and just try out thorns sader later as an alt gambling for gear, or start with a crusader to get Invoker set for free and work on the progression wiz later once I have the mats and shards and stuff farmed from my crusader for a while.

And in groups playing Delrasha just lagged the fuck out of the game when I played it. I could at will lag a whole group of 4 out of the game, like many other aoe classes, shit was stupid. Hope that is fixed, haven't played in months. It's looking like Delsere's is going to be best for solo, so if you've had issues with the bubbles before then it might be risky. However if I read correctly, they made some nice quality of life changes to the way Tal'Rasha's works; the bonus damage by casting different elements can be refreshed now, so you can always keep the full damage bonus rolling as long as you rotate your elements like before.

Even if it only lasts for the first week or so sounds interesting.

I never get any drop luck with Wiz so I'm just going to steer clear of that this season. Ahh, good old D3 superstition at its' best. ![]() So the archon set will still be the best wizard build this season? I haven't followed things much at all. I liked the del-rasha build more I think. it was annoying with the archon build that you lost all your momentum if you had to run 10 seconds between mobs... So stressful... Are there any new wiz sets, or major changes to the existing ones?

Delsere's actually has a reason to go 6 piece, Tel Rasha's doesn't reset your buff every cycle (you can sustain it), and Firebirds isn't so burn-and-forget anymore.

Drahque put together a pretty good overview with most builds that were tested on ptr, their expected power levels and when available guides and videos.

What the hell, the mysterious stranger is Tyrael himself? I had my suspicions when his voice sounded awfully similar to Tyrael's voice in HotS. While I thought the stranger would be important considering he showed up in the RoS cinematic, I thought he was just some important Horadrim chump, not the archangel of justice himself! I'm actually proud of myself for being able to avoid that spoiler for so long after all these years, though I already got spoiled on the fact that Leah turns into Diablo.

You really only get to enjoy the story once before the grind takes over and you skip it altogether, ahaha. But it's that grind that keeps us going... I really want the RoTS set buffed but Blizzard actually NERFED the 2 set this season T_T (thanks static charge Shenlong builds). Dash monk is my Diablo 3 love (closest thing to flicker strike builds from POE)...and it's just not going to be viable this season. Not a great season for monks... Ironic that ThornSader finally got buffed when I was trying to make that shit work back in season 1...No real interest in that now, I probably put 500+ hours into trying to make that crap work lolol. I don't really see any fun LoN builds out there for monk...and I really wish Blizzard would reduce the charge cost for RoTS-4 so that we can use cold-dash over fire dash and get rid of the Cindercoat in the cube...That would make playing a dash monk a bit more viable, especially in HC. Aquila is BiS hands down for goofy Monk generator builds, this season... Gonna be hard as hell to farm high level gems in HC to advance further T_T.

Nvm it seems the lvls are reset too. It really would have made more sense if you could start at lvl 70. That part of the grind isn't really what makes the season ladder.

This option allows you to instantly transform a non-Seasonal hero to a fresh level 1 Season hero, maintaining their name and hours played. You still need to level. But I didn't understand when this is useful. I guess only for the amount of hours played becaused you can have characters with the same name as they are not unique. Maybe things like: numbers of elites killed could be saved to the char but these might belong to "other accomplishments" that are mentioned as being left behind aswell in the patch notes.e: dodswe made a good point. it's probably about character slots.
