Is the name of the anthology something you'd be able to tell me based on this image? `O`
Also, just finished the last 3 eps of Katanagatari...
+ Show Spoiler +Didn't really expect Togame to just get shot a few times, even though princess Hitei hinted at this. I actually somewhat expected a more standard "hey! it's a happy ending!" ending, but this was much more satisfying, I think.

To add on LoGH 12
+ Show Spoiler + It seems like we already had some treachery going on in the empire. Much more will happen I guess, but I wonder how far it's gonna go.
On the alliance side, the whole "economic" discussion made me laugh. It's not something that the empire would care about, considering their structure. But the alliance has no time to consider economic options. Either the Empire rapes them, either you rape them. For the moment, at least. Iserlorn or not. At least that's how I see it.

I was pretty surprised by Katanagatari when I read it, especially because of the thing they did back in like, ep3~6 where Togame was doing some meta stuff involving the last episode/book. It was like...wait, lemme go back to read it...oh shit exact lines.

Oh yeah, another reason why I like it is because JCStaff's animation (visual) quality is better than average. Not as good as Kyoto Animation I'd say, but it's solid and I like the generally standard styles.
Another note... there's no violence in the show, lol. Although MAL's rating says R for violence and profanity. I hate JC Staff. They do have pretty decent animation, but they seem to have this uncanny ability to horribly screw up every series adaptation they touch. Plus half their stuff seems to feature some loli tsundere voiced by Rie Kugimiya.
By the way, is anyone here still watching Bakuman, or have you all dropped it? I hear it's proceeding at a snail's pace.

Well, in the last 2 days I watched more anime than in a normal week. I finished both Code Geass seasons, and I gotta say, I liked what I saw. The show overall, I find is a nice mix between Death Note and an action mecha anime.
The protagonist chooses to walk the radical, forceful side, much like Light from DN. Many people die, some he cares about. Throughout the 2 seasons we follow him in his descent into hell, all for revenge. Bent on nothing short of total annihilation of his enemies and those who betrayed him, he sacrifices his own allies as if they were pawns on a chess board and along with that, little by little, his very own humanity.
The show questions the definitions of Good and Evil. The characters are forced into a vicious circle of hatred, one they cannot break free from. Every action has a reaction.
Personally I hated Suzaku for being a huge hypocrite and I liked Lelouch for continuing down the road he chose. Lelouch was not afraid to get his hands dirty, and even when he bathed in the blood of his enemies and loved ones alike, he still pushed on, ever so forward.
Overall, I find the anime to be really good. The story is captivating and action packed, making it easy and pleasant to follow. Although the plot twists aren't really shocking, they do influence the story in a meaningful way.
One thing that somewhat shocked me was that, Kallen survived. Seeing everything Lelouch touch and care about turn into rubble, she alone was spared. Being so close to him on and off, during the academy days and during the missions, I find that to be short of a miracle.

I dunno, I'm kinda hesitant. To me, Code Geass was Lelouch's story. Without him, there is no Code Geass. They'll really have to pull off some miraculous shit to win me over. The only other story I could think of accepting, would be CC's stories.

I watched the Trigun Movie - Badlands Rumble yesterday and i am really impressed how awesome it is! Recommended even if you dont know the admittedly dated Trigun anime, but maybe you will want to watch it when the movie overwhelms you with awesomeness.

Haha I have noticed the loli tsundere part, but not the voice part. I will have to agree though, Toradora! felt a bit rushed and the adaption could have been better.
Also, the 3rd season does have someone that "strangely resembles Lelouch". Check out the description. It's not a sequel but more of a prequel though (at least chronologically).

Wait whoa where did you see this?! I've been waiting forever. The DVD/rips+subs finally came out?

Code Geass ENDING SPOILER
+ Show Spoiler +I too think it's a very smart anime, and the moral+story+hero ending up being more "good" than Kira and his plans in Death Note. I also disliked Suzaku, not hate but dislike. He's annoying. But I think the director sort of wanted us to even feel that way, because Lelouch probably feels the same.
HOWEVER. I would just like to ask. Do you fully understand the ending? If you didn't think "omg wait what?" at the very end, I think you might want to figure it out yourself if you decide to watch it a second time. If you'd like to know you can google I guess or ask here xD

Can someone explain this torrent thing to me I'm kinda new to this
|
Ok thanks Naphal :D
Can someone explain this torrent thing to me I'm kinda new to this
It's probably better if you search up how to torrent yourself, and then come here if you have any real troubles.
First, download a torrent program thing. Like Vuze. It's free, just don't subscribe. Download the torrent in Vuze (there's a search thingy), and then basically other people have have the full version of that "give" it to you. Or people with the parts of the files (episodes) you don't have "give" it to you. It's like a cooperative download. If everyone leaves, your download goes to 0 speed because no one's available to give it to you. Peers are the ones that have the full version. Seeds are the ones "taking" (can also give).
An ideal ratio would have almost the same number of peers and seeds, of course
When you finish torrenting, check out where it was saved, and open up the files :D.
(if you're downloading DVD files though, that's different. You'll have to extract the iso image from any one of the 50 or so folders that make up the DVD that you downloaded, and then Mount it on a DVD with a program like daemontools or so)
But I'm pretty sure you're just downloading the episode files themselves, and not what "makes up" a DVD with those episodes on it. So you don't need to worry about the last part.
Hope this helped, post back for help if you need any! xD

@Yoshi Kirishima
Can you explain yourself? About the ending I mean. Unfortunately, after 2 straight days of non-stop Code Geass, just thinking about rewatching it gives me a gag reflex. I'll probably lay off anime for a few days to recover from the aftereffects of this little marathon.
+ Show Spoiler [My thoughts about the ending of Geass] + I'd like to state, that for me the ending starts at ep.22: 1) By doing what he did he accomplished his goal. He "took revenge" revenge for his mother's death on his father and VV. 2) By becoming Emperor he effectively turned the whole world into his enemy. His former allies despised him for it, and he could lay the foundations to lay a crippling blow to the Britannia Empire with his own death. 3) He outplayed Dietheart. He knew himself very well that "Zero" wasn't a person but an icon. He made sure the Emperor was killed by "Zero" so the world would still have it's hero. Effectively here, he played the role of the Messiah that died for everyone's sins and for freedom. 4) He used Geass on his sister (last person alive he cared deeply about) and became a tyrant, so no one would weep for his death. 5) By capturing the fortress and the FLEYAs he made sure they couldn't be used.
Ultimately, with his death be brought the world the peace it desired. No wait. He's driving the hay carrage with C.C. on top, lol

Oh haha you get it now? xD The post that follows came before I noticed that edit.
Ok I was just wondering, cus I'm considering rewatching the entire series (especially at an anime club in college or something, with beautiful HD/Blue-Ray on projector with peepz in theatre room)
anyways.
CODE GEASS SECRET SPOILERS
+ Show Spoiler +Code Geass, as I'm sure you know, is a very intelligent series, with a ton of interesting plot twists and stuffs. And as so, there are different ways to look at it. If you understood the show, you'll see that... LELOUCH IS ALIVE Ok you may be thinking wtf? Now, there are a lot of ways you can look at this. I myself have not figured out which things I'd totally agree with (I have not remembered all the rules of Code/Geass for example, etc., and lots of people online don't remember correctly either). But for now, the way I see it, Lelouch has both Code and Geass. Meaning, he's friggin immortal. How do we know? Lelouch "killed" (debatable, he simply sent him into the world of C or whatever, but you could consider that killing) Charles. Before Charles died, he grabbed Lelouch on the neck. In order to transfer Code, you need to "kill" the Code bearer and there needs to be contact to transfer the code (?). Charles' Code was on his hand, so it should now be on Lelouch's neck (not shown, it only shows/activates when one dies, remember). Also, the show's name is obvious. CODE GEASS: R2. No, R2 does not stand just for rebellion 2, or something. The show's creators were again, ingenious, even with the naming. You know how CC is C2? VV is V2? Well Lelouch Lamperouge, LL, is R2. Remember that L and R are treated the same in Japanese, because they don't have an actual "L" sound. So basically, the name's show itself says: LELOUCH IS IMMORTAL, HE HAS CODE AND GEASS. Doesn't the name sound much more epic now? Now there are parts where I'm unsure about (again, due to Goro Taniguchi's masterful directing skills, in which he leaves multiple parts of the story up to your interpretation). You could say Suzaku has Lelouch's Geass. Remember when Lelouch got stabbed, he was like, you will now bear Zero's name, and you will take the power of the Kings? He could have meant his Geass when he said that. Again I'm not sure, I need to review the show myself. This could make sense however, Lelouch is alive but he loses his Geass so he can't abuse it anymore. For more reasons why Lelouch is alive you can look online. In conclusion, canonically, for the show to make sense, yes Lelouch is dead. But it's not confirmed in Bandai's list that he is a dead character. Now, for the fans that paid attention to the show, they can think to themselves Lelouch is alive because of the many hints. Here's some more reasons why Lelouch is alive. When Suzaku was going to stab Lelouch, he easily easily passed Orange, who SMILED. Why would he smile if he didn't know it was part of Lelouch's plan? You could argue he accepted that Lelouch had to die, but there's a chance he might know that Lelouch would be immortal and hence the smile. Also when he called the troops to take Lelouch's dead body away, he didn't seem sad. If Lelouch didn't tell him he would be immortal, wouldn't he show some sort of sadness? At the end, CC says "the power of the king isolates one forever" or something similar. She later says "but that's not quite right, eh Lelouch?" If you understand the show, she's obviously saying she was wrong. Why is she wrong? Because Lelouch is ALIVE, perhaps isolated but is able to live in peace with CC now. If Lelouch did die, then CC wouldn't be quite right about what she said. If Lelouch is dead, even though he did it for the good of the world and was happy with it, he's still isolated/cursed, cus well, duh he's DEAD. However he disproved CC's conjecture/warning at the beginning of the series when she made her contract with Lelouch, and hence surprises/amuses her. When she says "that's not quite right, eh Lelouch"? She strangely looks behind her. Not up, behind her. People can argue that she's talking to herself because Lelouch is dead, but you can infer that Lelouch is the cart driver, and she was looking towards his general location. Also, why would she say "Eh Lelouch" if she's talking to herself? Also if you realize at this point Lelouch is still alive, the music which follows immediately after fits a lot better. It's bouncy, contemplative, but also happy. Also, when you see CC on the hay cart, you notice a pink paper crane. You can assume this is the same one Nunnally made. Remember her promise with him, and the symbolism of the crane? 1000 will grant your wish. Anyways, why would CC have a pink paper crane like that with her if it wasn't Lelouch's? hmm... Another reason. Lelouch tricked the world once again. He's just that smart. So of courrrrrrrse he's alive . Haha hope this satisfies you.

Meta stuff? What's that?
Has anyone checked out the Katanagatari OST by the way? It's pretty darn good. I can't wait for the 2nd OST to come out because from what I've heard of the sample songs, it's gonna just as good if not better than OST 1. ^^
Edit: Now that College apps are done, Anime is going to take a huge priority in my daily activities. Kyoukai and Kenpachi are the next targets after I get over this Lucky Star thing. It's sooo dumb, but sooo addicting at the same time.

K. I bow my head in your general direction. Complete mindfuck from this + this link. I just noticed the hay carrige myself, and I though Orange was just glad that Lelouch's plan would finally bear fruit after so much investment, sacrifice and conflict. But I like ending that don't have everything explained and set in stone
guess I can say GG right here xD
