LOL, Yuki is so imba. Here, let me harness the power of the Goddess, render her totally powerless, erase the existence of my creators completely, and change the entire world by waving my arms around. I was wondering for the whole time how Yuki was going to explain to her bosses after the world reverted back to normal-- very smooth move there by Kyon.
Over all, I really liked the movie. They're probably going to revisit the decision later on, and I hope they add much more substance to that time travel since Kyon has already established his choice quite clearly.

Kaede just went apeshit and attacked Asa senpai.
Almost reminds me of School Days.
It's almost worth picking up this show for this arc alone. Almost.
Yeah, most of it is pretty meh, but the Kaede arc (and Kaede herself) are the best parts by far.

I remember it being unbearably bad until like ep 14 or something, cause i remember stopping there for like 3 months.
Yeah, there's only one arc that's even remotely good, and unfortunately, they put it near the end of the series. And it's only about two episodes long. It's a damn good arc though.

Don't worry, there's a million named characters lol. I'm on ep 11, but no one who is actually competent dies. It seems like before anyone who knows what they're doing dies, all the idiots will have to die first.
Is it worth watching even if I really hate old-style animation? I don't know why, but watching the older animes grates on my eyes, even if they're really, really good (i.e. akira)...
If anyone starts assuring people they'll come back from a battle alive, or if the show starts trying to make you care about a character that was previously irrelevant, odds are they're dead in the next 5 eps.
Although there are some (well, I've gotten to at least one) zomgwtf unexpected deaths.
So, I just watched the entirety of Deathnote, and I have to say I thought it was awesome, the main idea was interesting to say the least, I've never met a more detestable protagonist, and the ending was really satisfying, including the unexpected twists throughout, all in all I'd give it a 9/10.
What I loved about LoGH most was that while there were a million characters randomly introduced, they always served a purpose and for the most part were instantly recognizable rather than just filler characters
Later on as characters became more interesting and complex, their deaths were really sad

I know exactly what you mean. Like Fahrenheit and Steinmetz. For one, I didn't expect Fahrenheit to die, and secondly, I didn't expect to care about Steinmetz getting killed! When he was first introduced, he was just a generic admiral. And Yang almost drove him into a black hole (at least I think that was Steinmetz?). And then I actually cared about him when he died. And then there is Lutz. Just some noob who Yang stole Iserlohn from a second time. And then, he gets engaged, and goes out like a complete badass saving Reinhart. I cared about Lutz before I even knew it!
Then there is Yang's death, which took me completely by surprise, and many manly tears were shed...
I know exactly what deaths you guys are referring to... You people are making me sad all over again.

I used to think that, but if that was true then people like Muller, Mittermeyer, or Reuenthal would have died a long time ago. Alot of the relevant characters emerge from irrelevancy in this show. I even thought that Mitteremeyer and his wife was going to get assassined when she arrived on Phezzan, but so far nothing. It was definitely true for Lutz, though.

Shuffle VN is a lot better if you don't mind the genre.
Also, I found an amazing version of Emiya. It's probably the only remix I like of anything.
