True Grit - Excellent. Really funny if you can understand Jeff Bridges' drunk cowboy speech. Subtitles helped. Unstoppable - passable. Story is a bit overboard though. And too many trick shots in the film trying to generate false suspense or drama. "Speed" is way better. Salt - passable. Story is way overboard. But Angelina Jolie can still do action.
And plus... You're an idiot if you think it's propaganda. There's a lot of truth in how the British treated the Chinese when they went there. I'd say the movie showed more scenes of them being nice to the Chinese, when in history the majority of the Brits viewed the Chinese as dogs they could take advantage of.

Could this movie have any more propoganda? I fear for the continuity of global peace between the superpowers of the world.
I note you are from the US. Watch any American war movie.
Just because the states does it doesn't mean everyone else should promote xenophobia.

Name one.
I don't think that any movie can be that representative of all British people, portraying them all as bloodthirsty barbarians. Even if it were, it's time to let go instead of reminding the Chinese people of intolerance from eons ago.
Not all people are good, and not all people are bad. But movies like these argue that some races have more bad people than others, and promote racism.
Restrepo - Follows a U.S Army platoon during their tour in the Korengal Valley. Sort of like a fly on the wall perspective of the war, this is no propaganda bullshit, this is what war was like for these men. Pretty good.
Super 8 - Mediocre. Really expected something good from all the glowing reviews but this was just boring for the most part.
Breathless - Wow, this was really good. Curious about Godards other movies now.
Jar City - First Icelandic movie I watched. A world-weary cop comes to believe a recent murder of an elderly man is linked to a case of rape three decades earlier and works to put the pieces together. This was pretty good.

Anyone that liked the first one should like this as well. It is a shame that much of the flavor of the dialogues is lost in translation, but oh well, it's good for non-portuguese speaker anyways.
Awesome movie, thx for recommendation. iMDB rating 8.4 Here's the trailer:
True Grit - Very good movie to watch if you are having trouble falling asleep. Recommended if suffering from insomnia 0/10
Pirates Stranger Tides - I really liked the previous 4, so I guess it's a little bias speaking. Really well made movie, action scenes are sorta cheesy though and the storyline is fairly straight forward. Recommended 8.5/10
Transformers 3 - A hell of a lot better than Transformers 2. Really lame ending though. Still recommended 8/10.
X-Men - Pretty good, too bad I don't follow the series too closely (but I have seen the previous movies), but it doesn't matter as this movie is more of an into than anything else. Definitely recommended 8/10.
Do not watch. I went in expecting another Ip Man, instead I get a two hour long Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon romance film about some guy who has given up his past life of crime for his weak and useless wife who needs to be rescued (as you can see from the movie poster, she is not even hot). Again Takeshi Kaneshiro plays a role where his only purpose is to show-off what a supposedly good actor he is but his character, an investigator into Donnie Yen's past, is ultimately redundant and a waste of screen time unless you're a teenage girl who thinks he's the Asian version of Justin Timberlake. We all know the only reason anyone goes to see martial arts movies is for the fight scenes, but in this film, besides the badly choreographed fight at the start as shown in the trailer, there are only two - one where the main character fights this annoying screaming woman, who I think was his mother wanting him to go back to a life of murder, and another where he fights his father (for the same reasons) with a sword after chopping off his own arm to show that he no longer wishes to be his son (this is not a spoiler, it makes no difference at all to anything that happens and was not climatic). + Show Spoiler +
Because the dad was too invincible to beat the producers decided the only way to kill him off and end the movie was to have him be randomly struck by a lightning bolt. Fucking ridiculous.

Just watched this, I liked it a lot. Direct and real, I felt like I saw the events how they were, untainted by political motivation. Strangely, it made me want to join the army =/
Green Lantern. On a whim. Pleasantly surprised. Under appreciated movie. Tough to get past the green tights I suppose. Do hope they come out with a sequel.
(Good gawd this place has changed... But also oddly the same...)

You do realize that noone will take you seriously after you rate a movie by coen brothers 0/10, thats just pure trollage right there, even if you didn't like everything in it i wouldnt go lower than 6/10 just because of the overall quality of the product.

You realy like it???
Yeah, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Honestly, I rarely watch new American movies that much, few are worth watching most of the time.
Rhapsody in August - Very touching movie, another great from Kurosawa.
Mongol - Had a few cool battle scenes but alot of it had nothing interesting happening, got bored honestly. Pretty disappointed with it overall.
