One thing I didn't like though was how easily the whitewalker was beaten. I'm guessing it only has to do with that special dagger, though. I still don't understand the meaning of the crows....and I feel like the season is slogging and the whole book should've been crammed into a season D:...maybe not.
I have a feeling they just split it because they know that George Martin can't pump out that many books (lol like every 6 yrs or something), so they're trying to slow it down a bit so they can have a constant production pipeline going.
Once you see season 4 you will realise why the book had to be divided. Impossible to do it otherwise.

True on the guards, but I hear Braavosi are slippery (see Syrio, Jaquen). I wouldn't give the Unsullied too hard a time.
Most important than having 2000 men, Dany now has heavy cavalry. Added to her spearmen, dragons, and the light cavalry she's probably planning on acquiring from the Dothraki, she's looking at a very well balanced force. Smaller than the other Westerosi armies, but better trained and more cohesive.
And remember that a smaller army is not always a disadvantage, particularly with the supply-line problems that plagued middle-age armies. An elite 10,000 man force might stand a good chance against 60,000 Lannisters who have to choose between staying near supply hubs or splitting into smaller hosts. Never mind the issues of discipline and morale. Methinks men are braver when dragons fight with them, rather than against them.

Which is the bigger number, five or one ?
Bigger number does not mean victory though, if thats what you're getting at

Prudishness isn't the problem. Its just that unnecessarily involved sex (I'm thinking of the torture scene with Theon in ep. 7) takes up episode time. I certainly don't mind seeing beautiful women naked, but it really should be important to the scene... time that could be spent with Arya and the Hound, or with Bran, or even to see how Brienne and Jaime deal with their unexpectedly deep connection. I loved the books, and I really like how a TV show allows for a greater variety of perspectives and for new takes on relationships. I watch GoT for the epic story and the rich characters.

And nudity in this episode was sweeeet
Lol, i just wanted to write the same, had to watch the scene with the dagger 3 times because i couldn't believe the stupidity :D
Also, contrary to seemingly a lot of people's opinions here, i think that there's still not enough nudity!
Well it is kind of stupidity but he was scarred and just wanted to get away. Which is normal for his character by what we seen so far. If you wanted to call something stupid why not rather complain how such a coward managed to attack the white walker?!

For titillation, why not just watch a real porno?
Yes, prudishness IS the problem. Why does nudity have to be justified, when no other aesthetic element has to be? Why don't you complain about the graphic torture depicted in Theon's scenes instead of the nudity?
And the scene would have taken up just as much time if the torture was of a different nature. You only bitched about it because it happened to involve naked women.
Instead of demanding that the producers and directors justify their use of nudity, why don't you offer a criticism that actually makes sense and can justify your seemingly irrational fear of the female body.
And since you obviously like to play the "I'm a book reader" card (as if that's worth a lick), let me give you a relevant quote by GRRM himself:
“And if I'm guilty of having gratuitous sex, then I'm also guilty of having gratuitous violence, and gratuitous feasting, and gratuitous description of clothes, and gratuitous heraldry, because very little of this is necessary to advance the plot. But my philosophy is that plot advancement is not what the experience of reading fiction is about. If all we care about is advancing the plot, why read novels? We can just read Cliffs Notes.
A novel for me is an immersive experience where I feel as if I have lived it and that I've tasted the food and experienced the sex and experienced the terror of battle. So I want all of the detail, all of the sensory things—whether it's a good experience, or a bad experience, I want to put the reader through it. To that mind, detail is necessary, showing not telling is necessary, and nothing is gratuitous.”
The nudity wasn't unnecessary. It's psychological torture and it also got Theon's cock hard so they could flay it/castrate him.
Theon's vice is absolutely sex, if you haven't noticed in the first few seasons. To use his biggest vice, to humiliate him like that, and then to castrate him just shows you how much of a demented person is currently holding him.
Gymnophobia (from Greek γυμνός - gumnos, "naked"[1] and φόβος - phobos, "fear"[2]) is a fear (phobia) of nudity. Gymnophobics experience anxiety from nudity, even if they realize their fear is irrational. They may worry about seeing others naked or being seen naked, or both. Their fear may stem from a general anxiety about sexuality, from a fear that they are physically inferior, or from a fear that their nakedness leaves them exposed and unprotected.
Guys don't worry the boobies won't hurt you. They might even make a scene better.
