Mike was about to shoot Jesse in the back when he was shot. 3 shots showing Mike about to shoot Jesse. I think this is a total stretch I don't see any evidence he was aiming at Jesse

It sort of makes sense because Gus has been working on an entire Walter vs Jesse scheme and they are at a point where they are indifferent about each other. From what your given about Gus, you can assume he had it all planned out, he's an incredibly shrewd genius. Either way this episode was amazing, and we need some confirmation on this matter via podcast.

The way Gus interacted with the cartel was fascinating. Walter doesn't know what hes up against at all. Also is it just me or has Jesse been way way more interesting this season. I was worried when we wasnt doing anything but his character has really taken a awesome turn.

Also, most shows won't do something so subtle that it's very hard to read. But if any show would do something so subtle it would be Breaking Bad. For example a lot of shows do cheesy flashbacks to remind audiences of small details, and they do things like slow motion whenever there is a climax and a main character is about to be shot or something. Breaking Bad never does this.

The story that now he's basically clueless about anything going on in gus head and just throws himself in further danger rather than repairing his relationship with walter?

His head is moving around the whole time before he is shot. Way i see it is he is lifting his gun to cover jesse getting to the other side of the car. Anyway, if they really wanted to kill him why wouldn't they just let him drink? I don't believe in the "mike wanted to kill jesse" conspiracy. Looking at the gif, it seems like just coincidental shot (filming) angles, because they need to frame mike's body against the glass window as it shatters from the "bullet". If mike entered a car normally then his arm would be inside the car, and his body not parallel to the window frame. To have the full effect of the shot going through the window and into mike, he needs to be standing facing towards the camera behind the window, and with his arms to the sides and not entering the car. On a side note, I don't think he even ever pointed it at Jesse to begin with. To me it looks like he pointed it towards the front of the car and as he is being shot that momentum brings his body back and arms forward.

Jesse never had a drinking problem, Meth, heroin, not drink. Nothing ever highlighted that, so it was pretty obvious some shit was up with that drink ^_^ Not to mention the pill and Mike's words. Amazing bloody episode. although i only recently started watching. After the whole of season 1 in two nights, catching up and being on one a week is like fucking rehab to me >.>

Exactly what I thought after watching this episode. How the hell can they top this? And most importantly how can they put Walter back in the spotlight after this last episode. + Show Spoiler + I watched the controversial scene a few times and maybe Mike just saw the guard and immediately pulled out his gun. I find it hard to believe that Mike wants to finish him off so easily... Oh man I'm so hyped. I loved the last two episodes..

I hope Mike and Gus don't die - they are too good to watch. Skyler's ex-boss needs a slap! Love this series so much...always want more when the credits roll

If they wanted Jesse to die they would have just let him drink the alcohol.

Most recovering drug addicts stop drinking as well, especially if they were part of NA programs and such. I for one am way more inclined to do things while intoxicated that I would normally steer clear from while sober; so I can only imagine how easy it would be for an addict to relapse. Even if Don Eladio is the supreme leader, even if that were likely given that criminal organizations tend to have fairly nebulous power structures, I really doubt that the Cartel would just roll over and die at the death of about 20 people. At the worst, they'll be out of the picture for a while, but I certainly wouldn't count them out. More likely, I'd bet there's some even higher level of power under whom Don Eladio was working, and the rabbit hole goes deeper. It certainly won't end the Cartel in Mexico, but what would usually happen is since there's like 20 guys left all at the same level in the mob hierarchy, they began forming their own cartels and they start fighting each other for territory and control. When the dust clears I doubt the last man standing will even remember Gus. However -- at least in American Mafias -- there is a "five families" type of thing (Coppola did his research). A mob committee, if you will. For the sake of entertaining television, I'm sure the Breaking Bad cartel has that type of system too, so they might come after Gus now. Could be the plot for next season.
