also, he raised the gun in the direction of jesse probably because he couldn't extend his arm towards the shooter due to the car door, so had to extend his arm to the side. gus has been impressed with jesse over the last few episodes. no reason for the writers to instill that into the show if the plan was simply to kill jesse anyway... i believe that gus wants to turn jesse against walt, and his plan is working thus far.

With three episodes left I'm wondering how they will wrap up the season. It's always a surprise. I am actually wondering if Walt will end up killing Hank whether directly or indirectly. Also wondering if Walt and Jesse will make up somehow before the last episode.

He looks him in the back, raises his gun at Jesse, then gets shot. He doesn't even look at the shooter, until he gets shot...

I sincerely doubt that the Cartel is finished. Even if Don Eladio is the supreme leader, even if that were likely given that criminal organizations tend to have fairly nebulous power structures, I really doubt that the Cartel would just roll over and die at the death of about 20 people. At the worst, they'll be out of the picture for a while, but I certainly wouldn't count them out. More likely, I'd bet there's some even higher level of power under whom Don Eladio was working, and the rabbit hole goes deeper.

his gun was out and ready during the whole escape. just before he is shot he faces the shooter. his arm does go up slightly, indicating he might have gone for jesse, or was he just getting into the car normally? it is really indecisive. however, if you look at the season as a whole, im not sure it makes sense to kill jesse. gus has been training jesse for this very moment. he recognized that he needed another warrior down there in mexico with him. as an audience, we've been prepped perfectly for this. gus's face when jesse was being the boss in the mexican lab i think says it all. while i think it is naive to believe jesse means anything to gus, i do believe that gus has bigger plans for jesse; taking over as the head chef. so while it is certainly in the realm of possibility, and some evidence in the slow motion, im going to say no.

He then looks to the left 90 degrees while still pointing the gun at Jesse but is shot before he has a chance to respond. He -jerks- to the left, an unnatural movement, as if caught by surprise. Rather than lifting his gun to point at the gun man. If you look at the lighting and the reflection of the gun you can much easier see the direction it's pointing in the 2nd frame of that picture. The 3rd frame shows him after he was shot/jerked almost 90 degrees to the left and his arm is following slower than his body moved. Why wouldn't they kill Jesse? He's no longer needed. They needed him to cook the meth and to help escape to the car. Once that's all done, they don't need him any longer. They could just tell Walt that "complications" came up, Walt was already thinking Jesse betrayed him - which may have been planned as Walt suspected when they first took Jesse under their wing. edit: The direction of the gun man is evidenced by how Mike is shot/falls against the car and most importantly the many seconds of Jesse firing after having turned more than 90 degrees(as the gun man was running towards their left as soon as he exited the door which is where he first shot from.) Animated GIF of Mike aiming at Jesse. The gif shows pretty clearly that yeah mike does point the gun at jesse he never looks directly at him. His head is moving around the whole time before he is shot. Way i see it is he is lifting his gun to cover jesse getting to the other side of the car. Anyway, if they really wanted to kill him why wouldn't they just let him drink?

Dunno, but time will tell hopefully!

Edit: it looks like Mike is going to shoot Jesse because he's going into the car ass first, while holding a gun in the air. If he was going to shoot him, he could've easily done it while Jesse was trying the car doors.

Maybe he messed it up by throwing it up or something or the poison is just strong enough to cause a lot of pain even with an antidote. The pills weren't an antidote, just helps to reduce the effects of the poison. Throwing up the majority of the poison was what really saved Gus I think, the pills helped subside the full effects.
