Man, imagine all the people who travelled from all around the world just to watch some dota. I would be disgusted and asking for a refund at this point.

Koreans have one of the best early and middle game rotations among all teams here, and the best understanding of push times. Their individual skill isn't necessarily above that of other teams and their strategies, up to now, have all been the same basic idea, and we haven't actually seen them in the late game in a situation where they have to play an even game, so they're in no way safe. But with the above advantages, any team that doesn't understand their push times, else lack the early/middle game rotations to deal with them, will certainly lose to them. There are only a few teams in this tournament, as such, that I'd place above them, all of them with smart leaders.
Chinese teams and the slower Western teams both need to understand that their strategies are shit, and that the Koreans are winning every game in under 30 minutes because they actually have the right idea. You need to play fast, else a way to shut down teams that do play fast. Up to now, push strategies are winning it all. Koreans across genre generally focus on execution based play. Mechanics and high APM over decision making and mind games (generally). In terms of individual skill, I don't think QO is lacking anything other than the hero pool compared to the top midlaners. Febby and MP seemingly underperform compared to the others but MP is transitioning to the carry role and Febby seems like he has taken over the March consistency role. QO is scarily good mechanically these days, i'm in awe this is the same guy that went something like 0-6 vs s4 in mid when MVP first came into the scene.
QO learned how to balance his aggression better. But a big reason why his aggression is hitting better is because Forev creates so much more space and pressure on the safelane compared to March. March was a great player and an even better captain, but his mechanics was not core-worthy leading to MVP sacking the offlane and using March on heroes like Spirit Breaker to help other lanes. Forev is a former Mid/safelane player that has high mechanical skill, a big difference for the lanes for MVP.

The biggest stars of the event, VG with Burning and Fy, can't even play infront of the crowd. Burning strikes me like the kind of guy that makes people show up to tournaments just to watch him play. Seems like a really terrible experience for all the local fans.

will they at least still cast the games or do i have to update my doto and watch it ingame? this is really embarassing btw, possibly one of the worst produced/organinzed huge esports tournaments i've watched so far, and i've watchted quite a few of those...
|
They're still gonna cast it.
