They have to be in good form from the very beginning to have a shot on an upper bracket place. Keen Gaming did cost Liquid already their spot at Dreamhack, let´s hope that history will not repeat. Second to last chance for Kuro and his Team to make it to TI without going through qualifiers.

Oh we have a dota tournament with liquid again, after 10 years. not expecting anything to be honest, if they get last place again i wont even be surprised.

I like the way the bois played vs Keen, We even got Game 1 under control but with that draft 1 mistake means GG, and thats just what happened. Now we face VP - OMG, that will be epic!

yeah i agree. that game was so close, anyone could have won. Morph was just a bit too much in the end.

P.s Please, kick Matumba from the team (this should have been done as 2 seasons ago). He's the worst kerry player on the pro-scene. It’s so shame to watch when the game is on 4 players vs 6 players.

Not only that but also very wrong about too many things.

All in all decent games, much better than I expected out of TL after the last major. Hopefully we take the decider for upper bracket, cause today VP was just the better team

Look, if we're flaming Liquid because we thought they thought they had a chance to take on VP but they messed it up, it just goes to show how much of an improvement Liquid has made. Because before their first series, would anybody actually think they could take on VP?

You do realize that mostly he ends up low on the networth because the team decides to sacrifice his game to give Miracle more space?

Sure this was not the best weaver performance, but Liquid lost that by taking silly fights and being very sloppy about positioning. That was far from being a single player's fault and much more also related to a draft with not even close to enough lockdown for a Storm Spirit

Before this meeting, Vp had 37% wins against Liquid. I keep up to date, but you apparently don’t know nothing and they should have won this meeting, but Matumba decided to throw the victory as usual.


Liquid win lines, control runes, they had 8.000 gold but threw the victory out of the blue (and so twice). The problem is not that they have lost, but that they giving victory on the same place in both games.

The lifetime stat of 37% makes very little sense in this context. If you kept up to date as you claim you would know that this season's TL is a far cry from the previous 2 seasons while VP have been chugging along like always. There is a reason why TL only sits at rank 12 of the DPC instead of being first to qualify like VP did.

If you check for this season's records for TL against VP you would know that they only won a Bo1 they had against them at MDL Macau, The only other direct meeting was the one they just lost.

Considering current form, momentum etc. TL really had no business giving VP as competitive of a series as they did although it ended 0-2

that being said, I do think the decision to make Matumba a poverty core2 was weird in those two games vs VP. Wether it's the team saying they need Matumba to be really selfless or it's him and overdoing it idk.

The weaver vs Drow is just really hard to play if you're far behind as a weaver imo. You just die in that silence time and need to keep up in items. Maybe Kuro underestimates how long it takes for Arc Warden to take over?
The LifeStealer game likewise felt a bit weird of a game to put all your eggs into the Miracle basket instead of having a more balanced pos1 and pos2 distribution, which imo would have made things harder for VP.

But obviously that's just my pleb opionion. Not trying to hate on them. The first 4 games were really nice to watch and a good improvement over how things have been recently.

All this flaming liquid players is actually an insult to VP who drafted and played extremely well.

Solo in particular owned TL this series.
