Matu was having an awesome game until team fights happened. That pit crushes PL, put a disruptor on top of that - useless. As simple as that - ima huge fan boy, but its honest to say - Liquid deserved that loss. Questionable drafts in to some bad plays - thats what you get. Maybe those 2 week patches got them too, seems like no player likes that, but they are all playing under the same circumstances. They have to get some time to practice, first time i see this team in maybe two years not on the same page.

Liquid just making the same mistakes this entire tournament over and over again. Watching these guys get picked off and killed a million times over and over again wasn't an enjoyable experience so whatever.

No tournament wins, early eliminations, consistently looking lost as a team, and all 5 players rarely performing well at the same time. if by lately you mean this tournament yeah. Two bad tournaments and one good one, it's not exactly a good luck. It's almost June and they've won only one tournament in 2018 and that was a minor.

But you conveniently leave out the fact that besides DAC and now Birmingham, we were Top4 in every tournament we entered. That is two bad runs out of 7 tournaments in 2018. Yes we should not have lost to pain, we looked pretty bad during it, but to say 2018 was entirely bad is very much so hyperbole. It speaks more of the volume of expectations we have for TL that all that consistency counts for nothing among the fans

Not only a painful loss, but also £ 24 wasted on a ticket - I don't think there's any point going to Birmingham on Saturday if there's no Liquid to watch.

The placements at DAC and Birmingham just kinda ruined that consistency. DAC could've been a fluke but with this elimination at Birmingham, it clearly isn't. I don't expect them to win everything which is why I was previously somewhat fine with how their 2018 was going but now it's not looking so good for them.

2. Secondly, all other teams have their's eye on you (even in the restroom!). 3. Thirdly, all other teams are hungrier than you (to win a second TI is a kind of luxury - to win it for the first time is more like a [dota] lifetime dream). 4. To "save strats for TI" in this two weeks patch pace, I think is impossible (especially for months intervals). 5. BO1s are anti-dota almost all the time = is mainly like promoting luck and weaker teams - look at any other sport! (I'm starting to think ESL is favorizing some/the lower seeded teams) - please stop! BOTTOM LINE: the worst thing - i think - is this two weeks patch "law": imagine this in any other sport or e-sport or in life! You cannot improve in playing the game, but you have to improve in understanding and quickly adapt to the so frequently changes brought to the game.

Liquid still was the most consistent team of 2018, and they will recover for sure;) Of 2017 you mean, 2018's most consistent team is VP after getting Rodjer.
