They're not good indicators of which team is better and there are no follow up games. A single game of DOTA that doesn't prove anything and is only there because everyone decided to screw over the DOTA 2 audience this year. Just don't see the appeal.

And yeah, as a viewer I agree that bo1 matches just aren't fun for me. DAC runs during the middle of the night for me, and I'm not staying up for a bo1, though I might for a bo3. Still, I don't think there's any legitimate complaint about fairness to be made. You can complain about bad luck for one bo1 or even two, but when there's 7 you really should be winning the majority of them if you're the better team. I would be extremely surprised if Liquid don't advance in top 2 in this group, loss to LGD notwithstanding. And if they don't, they'll have only themselves to blame, not the format.

Double elimination will hopefully make up for the bo1 group stage. The games do come on late for me too so it does make it harder to justify staying up to watch literally two Liquid games over the course of hours.

I kind of feel the format ruins majors and minors because there's no TI invite mystique pressuring teams to be competitive. A team like Liquid has more to gain from trying out new strategies and rebuilding tournament rhythm than they do from trying to win the tournament and giving teams a look at their TI-cards. If your format doesn't incentivize winning it's a bad format in my book.

Oh well. it happens Quite often lately unfortunately. let's not be dramatic heh most chronos were just fine He even has done some super sick terrorise dodges inside them Just the whole team failing plays and Vici genius strategy (weaver build especially) was the main factor, and he got slowed down way too much, If he anticipated the tempo I'm sure he'd just rush BkB linken (but to what end? who's gonna carry then?) Surprised you wouldn't single out chainfeeding GH

I mean it's just fine teams try at first to secure their places Now it's time to figure new patch out and the cosnatnt changes when TI is secured And there will be a huge serious push just before TI with culmination right when it arrives Seems natural for the top teams And evens out the scene as lower placed teams give it their all where for Liquid it's just another group stage haha.

If there is a small period of poor condition (as Secret had weeks ago) it's ok, nobody can be always performing at top level. But in Liquid case this is going on from September, and the exuses are always the same ones. I'm still so doubtful about all this chanting "saving strats, not burning out" and i feel that they are not trying to shake things up to find new ways to get their mojo back

Liquid is 3rd overall in the DPC, has won multiple tournaments and is in top4 for the rest and you say they are slumping. I mean I also want them to win a Major but you can hardly call this a poor performance. Besides VP liquid has been the most consistent team by far.

Some people here are really dramatic and negative. I want the major win as much as every other fan, but don't forget liquid is still the most consistent team since TI. Placing 3-4 at worst in every tournament is pretty impressive if you ask me.
