Liquid just keeps letting Terrorblade through and to counter it, they pick mediocre cores.

All in draft + Bad play = GG.

Way too cocky... again...

I have to be honest - our boys didn't deserve to win today, VP were better. GG to them. And GL in the finals.

how do you get caught by the same fake-back twice in 20 seconds? liquid played pretty disappointingly here, i hope its just a lack of preparation or something, but this didn't look too good.

I think the Huskar pick wasn't bad, it's good to try something new, but they would've had one more chance after that loss if they had just realized that Invoker has no place in 7.10. Huskar was redeeming qualities. Invoker does not and time after time, their games with him prove exactly that.

I'm totally fine with Liquid finding some success in off meta picks. I'm not fine with them picking a hero that they've already tried to make work and failed massively with every single time.

You are picking huskar in to TB + DP? And to make matter worse, they got Oracle, so bursting a hero was not an opton. This forces you to all in on 20 mins gg. Sounds like a plan for a tear 2 team, Deffinateley bad draft. I just can't understand the mindset behind that, allining like that means you are scared of the opponent and can't win a normal game, And that make me scared and worried. Second TI Title will require more than that.

Yeah it wasn't the best draft but they tried something and that's fine. This is just another tournament at the end of the day for them and at least Kuro is being more experimental now. Before Liquid was having the same success that they have now at Majors except their picks were boring and mediocre at the same time.

They can walk away from this tournament and learn something from that Game 3. I doubt they'll learn anything from their Game 1 because if they didn't learn their lesson the first 8 or so times in a row that they've failed to make Invoker work, I'm not sure they'll ever learn.

Liquid does keep throwing at the high ground though.

i'm getting tired of this shit, they clearly don't fucking care about those tournament, in this week they drafted like a FaceIt lobby with some pubstar and in the end they were lucky to get in top 4 because they got away with some absurd shit thanks for the absolute amount of talent they have at disposal.

This is not the way of respecting your fanbase, no problem if you lose and get your ass kicked when trying hard a giving everything you have, but losing with this kind of attitud makes me mad as a long time fan.

Can you plz stop talking about the second TI title at this point in time? It's still a really long time, and a lot of tournaments before we get there. They are also getting top 4 every tournament they enter. As of now, there is nothing to worry in my opinion;)

This is quite a strong judgement about things that you can't reasonably judge as an outsider/spectator.
Sure, I'm not too fond of my favorite always getting 2-1'd in semis either, but I don't think it is at all fair to say that TL doesn't give a fuck about these tournaments. Sure, the drafts didn't work and people might call them bad, but that's still a difference from drafting meme stuff for the lulz.

I love the fact that Liquid is getting more experimental again and I don't mind that they lost this Major because experimentation is great for the team's continued longevity. I felt like ever since the big post-TI patch where Liquid's heroes of dumpstered, Liquid has always been slightly behind on the meta when it comes to drafting, and they relied on their player skill to carry them to their victories. Now I think Kuro is starting to find Liquid's own special place again.

They may have stumbled this tournament but there's more tournaments to come. This is the most promising tournament for Liquid this DPC when it comes to drafting and I'm probably more happy that they experimented and lost than I would be if they didn't and won. They've won enough tournaments this DPC already, I don't want them to be stuck playing meta just for them to completely fall off at TI because they didn't experiment enough during the season. I want TI wins. Anything that convinces me that Liquid can potentially take a second TI victory is all I ask for and sometimes a major/minor win isn't enough for me personally.

Something that you're all forgetting is that VP is the team with the best grasp of the meta and map movements right now. The Dota VP is playing right now is scary good. We're still #2 in the world right now (my internal power ranking as well as DPC). So let them fool around, experiment, and have some fun. It's a long season and I wouldn't want any other team in the world, cause these boys can figure shit out. They'll be ready in August.

I think kuro has being experimented to TI 8, If liquid can to do very high skill vs hard team, they should to accept high experience to second TI consecutive, and grab DPC point every tourney what they have done, I hope kuro understand, he is genius dota player, he want TI 8,

sorry about my english

lets go liquid, lets defend the TI champion

They got top 4 and still seem to be having fun despite winning TI last year. Not sure what you wanted? They definitely have work to do if they want to be top 4 at TI but this wasn't TI and they are pretty much guaranteed to get to TI the way they've been playing. The other option would be to keep grinding and wear down their relationships and themselves. If they flame out at TI, then you can say you were right, but until then trust the boys know what they need to stay engaged with DOTA.

two tb drafts = two wins. All the discussion about "meta", "grasp of the meta" seems only an empty talk here.

You guys don't know what's going on, maybe there were getting crushed in scrims with their normal strats so they change things aroun vs VP

Time and time again these top level battles you see off meta picks all over the place

Maybe. Anyway, glad to see them playing. Hope they review the mistakes and come back stronger... when matters most.
