Even though I didn't really expect them to do too well in this tournament I at least thought they would be able to make a decent showing. They should have won the first game vs VP, the second game was lost in the drafting phase. With this statement I hope I can bring myself to stop cheering for them. I've tried some times before but always come back to torture my self watching them lose and etch out a win here and there. I've also tried to cheer for other teams but all I managed to do was to find teams I dislike and wish losses upon instead. So in essence I'm saying goodbye to DotA2, and it will probably do me a lot of good as I am always in a bad mood after an Alliance loss, and the time could also be spent doing more productive things. Good bye, ya all.

This Major was disappointing, but the qualifier was worth it by far. [A] has been improving massively and there's a lot of time to get even better before the next Major. Long live.

Jokes aside, I feel for you guys, I hope it gets better soon, be it with the same players or some roster changes. It would be nice to do a mix with NiP and see what comes. If what NiP lacked was a shotcaller and in-game leader, I believe between the two teams something better will come out.

It's not going to get better with these players and just changing one or two isn't going to make a big difference. The problem is Loda-S4-Akke-Bulldog

Can we please stop this moronic practice of pretending there is some litmus test for being "a real fan"? Not to mention he had the passion to get so angry that he stoped playing Dota. Which is by definition being a lot more invested in a team then someone who just go "Oh well they lost, no mather, better luck next time bois xoxxo". So if you want to argue for the existense of "The real fan" surely he claims that title over you with ease. Alliance did what people expected them to do, mediocre. Which is why I easily get where hes comming from. I get pissed of at myself for being mediocre at Dota and feels it is a waste of time as a result, I would get even angries and feel it was a even bigger waste of tiem to support professional mediocrity.

But we should try to see the positive things. I don't forget where we were two months ago, and where we are now. No one even thought Alliance could qualify for Major and they did it, they even didn't finish last, they still can improve and find a way to not tilt during rough situations. I just hope they stick together, trust each other and keep working hard, only thing i didn't understand was the no picks for s4 of Qop and Bat but he surely knows the game infinite times better than me so he had his reasons. I'll never stop supporting, we had way worse times, we lost at the Major? Ok, let's analyze what went bad from plays to wrong mindset and let's work on it, there are plenty of tourneys to bounce back, we can do it! To Tesgah and Gintonic, i really appreciate how you take these losses in the right way ![]() To gOst and the other supporters, i'm sorry you want to leave dota and stop supporting A but i think that tomorrow, with a cold mind you'll soon miss our beloved boys... that's the curse, Alliance go into your soul, it's not just a Dota team unfortunately (or luckily?) :D... Once you go rat... LONG LIVE [A]!!! Ad maiora

Personally I wouldn't mind if they tried out switching Loda and bulldogs positions a while and see how it turns out. Loda often feels like a good player on offensive heroes and he has experience with it from Zenith. Though it might be a bad idea since it would slow down growth in case it doesn't work out.

But quitting Dota 2? Stop watching Dota altogether? That seems a bit extreme to me. I'm a huge Alliance fanboy, but I wouldn't go as far as to abandon Dota 2 entirely just because they have bad results. Sure, if they disbanded I'd be really upset, but I don't think it'll come to that. With the potential those guys have, I'm sure they will have another peak. Will they win another TI? Meh, who knows. That'd be a big boon, but for me I'm just happy seeing the boys playing together and finding good synergy. It's the small moments of perfect coordination that makes me happy. As long as we get glimpses of that, I'll keep being a happy fan. Long live ![]()

Most football fans are used to much worse than what Alliance is going through dotas not at the point yet where most teams stick with their core roster for a long time (heck many team brands come and go), so its understandable that is the case, though hopefully the times are changing

Most football fans are used to much worse than what Alliance is going through Dota and football is hardly comparable though. Arsenal, the team I support, is something much bigger then the players currently on the team. Alliance isn't. Also, in Dota teams get created and end within the span of months, entire rosters get changed or they never change. There is so little consistency. What are you actually cheering for?

You enjoy the games because you know the goalkeeper which works at the local hardweaver store and who you play with from time to time. You enjoy it because you run into the players at the local pub where you can tell them how terrible they are, in jest of course, and buy them a pint. It's because you are close, I don't see how the two are similar at all.
