I was an Alliance fan last year, but this year they haven't been playing well so I don't really expect them to reach top 3 in this year's TI. Maybe I'm wrong.

I've been an alliance fan since they were known as no tidehunter, and still am. It's true that they haven't been nearly as dominant as they were last year. But remember the two months before last TI. Alliance had a slump then as well, then they had a boot camp and came back to only loose three games in total in the international.
I'd give them a 60% chance for top 3 and about 15% for first place.

We can gauge their chances in the upcomings Lans , you need to be in good shape to have a reasonable chance to win it , of course you can always "NaVi" and play mediocre dota up to the tourny and get to the final.... but it seem far less reasonable to happen ... GOOD LUCK!!

Probably it's because i just love those guys and this team especially since their formation in 2012, probably i'm retard but...

Who can you rate over Alliance right now? I mean, scene is very close, it's not like last year when [A] rolled G1 and Na'Vi then came back roaring in playoffs of Alienware Cup, it was obvious that they have to meet and greet each other in the finals and it happened.
Dare you say that Na'Vi won't be top-2 TI? What about EG even not caring about getting Fear back? Well, there are always Chinese overlords like DK, Vici Gaming who are my main favourite right now and NewBee. Probably, C9 will make a splash with 8 midas strat? Noone knows.

Ofc, there are still WPC, Dreamhack Summer and EMS One to play. But there is only one target. Second one. First in the history.

But anyway.

While they certainly aren't easy favorites coming into it like they were last year, its a bit presumptuous to count them out of TI4. They seem to have found a solid drafter in EGM and while I don't want to imply they haven't been taking other tournaments seriously or anything, they seem to be experimenting a lot with heroes and strats, likely to prep their TI4 playbook.

I also think it's worth it to note that Alliance is a team that benefits immensely from bootcamping. Their communication and cohesiveness is top tier in the pro scene and this will be ironed out to perfection with controlled running of preplanned drafts as they determine how to most efficiently run a line up. I'm expecting a strong showing from them at TI4, though the competition is doubtless a lot fiercer this year.

Why alliance some time repeat mistakes they maid in TI3, like to play to passively and to fixedly in lines, make some blinders when they feel win is near, they should such brilliant playes in a middle of the game I never see in any other teams.

I will not discard alliance, and they always fun to watch
