I'm neither Blizzard fanboy and we all know that D3 is suck, but there is nothing relate to new expansion of D3. We can look forward a * fixing gameplay * aka new expansion of D3. Nothing to lose, we lost $60 already

Will be interesting what they will do in the expansion, they have free hand to throw in new stats and equipment that is focused on team pvp. They could even steal from other games and create gear that works just on PvP maps, to not screw with PvM. I am still undecided when to buy it. Get it first second farm the crap out of it to finance the game. Or wait till some reviews are out. I mean there were enough spoilers in the original to know what will happen in the expansions story.

Like in the Bible we have books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and so on, and they are not only what they said, but written by them.

They also said at some point that you will be able to sell characters in D3, that there will be a deathmatch PvP system, that synergies won't rule class build(WW tornado barb, CM WIzard, FoF:T+SW monk, etc) that an optimal build won't be 50% more efficient than any viable build(http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=IzhoGX_7uFY&t=755), that there would be character customization (mostly with defunct mystic). They are talking about ladder, no AH mode etc (http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/blizzard-considering-diablo-3-ladders). They can say anything and then not do it in the end, like they always did.

Opinions on game mechanics will always be expressed, whereas content may not get finished in time. Can't just assume all things people say have equal probability of impact.

Now, the matter of will it be saved or not is a different discussion entirely. Blizzard has had their collective heads up their asses for the better part of a decade now, so I wouldn't count on it.

Everything was all about attack damage and even spell power was increased by attack damage. You had no skill tree, no real environment randomization, no searching for spellbooks like in D1, it was just extremely linear and boring. I won't be getting an expansion unless the expac is "D2 with better graphics"

I don't think it's the ah itself that is the problem. Custom rooms for trades isn't just archaic, it's also really difficult to actually get a trade going for an item you actually want. There's a reason the real world has moved away from the barter system; finding one guy out of millions that has the thing you want, and you having the thing one thing in millions that he wants is not a fun game of probabilities to play. The ah isn't the best system, but it's a vast improvement in practicality. My issue isn't the ah making finding items less fun, but that the item design is terrible. The random properties on the items just feel like samey fluff because they're all based around uninteresting stats, you always just look for mainstat and vit and there's nothing that makes the item feel different from others. None of the items really feel unique, even the uniques. Where are the fun utility magic affixes to combine, faster cast rate, hit recovery, damage taken goes to mana, being struck/attack has chance to cause spell, light radius, blocking, charged items? Where's the unique specials like flamebellow letting me use inferno, or runeword to turn into wolf, or get special auras? That's what makes the game so mediocre for me. Farming so that I can get 50 more vit on an item is not interesting; farming something like Trang-Ouls Avatar so I can get new techniques/abilities/etc. that can completely change the way I can play is.

Blizzard has said they want to update the loot system and provide for more unique items and the ability to get interesting items early on in the game. That is really all I need • Updated loot system with better loot that is more fun • Optional “Classic mode” that removes the AH option that character

While D3 was a colossal disappointment and had the single worst writing out of any game I've ever seen, most of the hate for D3 came because we have such high standards for Blizzard. You must not play very many games if you think D3 had the worst writing. Certainly, disappointments abound with the title (not much from me, but I know others), but under no stretch of a reasonable imagination was it bad.
