I've already stated my opinion earlier in this thread and in past threads. I see no need to repeat myself for your sake. I have also stated that I will not get any more involved in the debate regarding female casters and sexism and what have you, because it is obvious that the debate is a dead end on these fora. But when people start using words they don't understand and throw around insults, I must speak.

my point was just that the same way guys "abuse girls on the internet" is the same way girls USE or TAKE ADVANTAGE of guys on the internet or in real life. there is a clear parallel that can be drawn between the two. when a girl streams with massive cleavage and a webcam she ruins the respect for the other serious gamer girls and at the same time is taking advantage of guys who are sexually driven. its EXACTLY the same in the grand scheme of things.

Men that want that sexual stimulation receive a benefit from what promiscuous girls do. Yes they get manipulated and controlled, but it is not similar to throwing insults at someone. How you make that logical leap is beyond me. There is no parallel, though perhaps a small tangent.

Throwing insults (at the least) provides no benefit for the receiver. The receiver does not want it, tries to avoid it, but the abuser cares not for the receiver's preferences.

Promiscuous girls on stream provide a service (however wrong, however frowned upon), and men actively seek it.

so what you are saying is basically this

- a bad guy gamer will NEVER be insulted
- a bad girl gamer will always be insulted

is this correct? i disagree lol. go find me a plat sc2 player who does cosplay and is male, and watch the hate that ensues lol

How you draw these conclusions from my post is beyond me.

A summary of my post:
1. The term 'mongoloid' should not be used as an insult. It's not supposed to be an insult but has become a popular racist pejorative.
2. Use your words wisely because inadvertently opting to use racist insults makes you look bad, and your argument worse.
3. Insulting a reluctant woman and Seducing a receptive man are not equally "abuse".

I did not mention anything about it being alright for men to be insulted. I did not mention anything about women being insulted as a standard that always happens.

I don't care if someone is bad at a game. They can stream it if they want to. Constructive criticism can be provided.

Insults, no matter the time, the place, or the circumstances, are unnecessary.

ok fine but your problem is not with sc2 but the internet. people insult EVERYONE for EVERY REASON on the internet. its not because they are a girl or a guy, they are insulting people on the internet because they think its fun or they wana try and be witty. no one is honestly insulting WOMEN they are insulting PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET. you cant find me one GOOD GIRL GAMER stream where groups of people are insulting them. it doesnt exist.

ok lets talk about a scenario.

I am a pro gamer. im at the top of my game, top 200 at any game

a girl who is in the bottom or middle percentage streams and gets 4k viewers every time because she has some sort of "sexy" thing going on with webcam.

im not saying she cant stream or what she is doing is wrong, she is providing something people want or they wouldnt tune in but i am not going to respect this player as a "gamer" worthy of this popularity? she is popular for non game related content and people are going to hate on her just like they hated on maximusblack

this player now gets recruited to a pro gaming house, because she is a girl who has viewers. she is not recruited to "win tournys" and there are no expectations of her winning anything. she is going to get hate JUST LIKE MAXIMUSBLACK

do you see what im saying? the girl is going to get flamed JUST AS MUCH as the guy in the SAME scenario. girls who are bad at sc2 get flamed just as much as guys its just more often the case because they "add a webcam".

girl gamers on twitch always have a webcam. why? why do they need a WEBCAM to play a VIDEO GAME. because it gets them more viewers and they know it. it has absolutely no intrinsic value yet they do it. they will love the boons it grants them aka viewers but complain about the hate they get (being bad and streaming webcam)

any way you slice it you are not getting treated differently because you are a women, you are being treated if ANYTHING completely the same as men but you are the ones who are making it hard on yourself by adding "gimics" for viewercount
