Since this whole topic degenerated into the usual balance flamefest where every topic ends up if unmoderated it's time for it to clean up. Locking this down for a while. Any posts made after my post [page 233] not addressing the changes in this patch directly and containting flames or general balance whine will get banned for at least a week. ~Nyovne There is way too much flaming in this thread right now. NP nerf = toss buff. ZvP in Korea as of 1.3.6 is 8:2. It will help protoss and it is justified. NP nerf = more use of thors. In return, Zerg will recieve a buff in ultrarisks and hellions will be weaker. so it makes much sense. Sound perfectly reasonable to me. | ||

But I guess it did make you cry to see your whole army get mind controlled. But there's an easy answer to that. Positioning. Letting the neurals fungal you off a cliff? Dumb. Sending two colossus from behind to rape the infestors during the engagement works. Having HT feedback works. It just takes micro, and positioning. In the end the player with the better mechanics win. | ||

No you are not ![]() BTW, i don't know how many know or remember the BS strategy from BETA with mass Raven with HSM. Before the HSM nerf, you could effectively trade energy for dmg and have a high probability of retaining most of the Ravens after the fight. It was a "i don't need to scout or adapt, very cost efficient" way to play. HT with KA was a similar thing: mass caster units with minimal support. In essence, the roles become reversed. The supporting unit becomes the "main" unit and the main units take the role of support. Even if it can be "countered" to make the game relatively even, it is still very stupid that is works at all. It's just not Starcraft. I see mass Infestors in the same way. While there might not necessarily be a big problem with one particular "ability", the versatility that it offers through all 3 abilities makes them a sure bet. Balance aside, it makes for stupid, non Starcraft play, IMO. | ||

At first seeing the "NP'ed units now correctly keep armor/attack upgrades" was making it look like they wanted to buff NP, but now this change makes it kinda useless. I mean what are you going to NP now? The only thing I could see would be tanks, since on the rest of the other units the energy would be better spent with a fungal. I don't know, seems a bit like the Blueflame nerf to me. It makes an upgrade not really worth it. I hope this change doesn't go through, and if it does hope they reduce the cost of the upgrade, or remove the upgrade requirement, or reduce the energy cost or something, but NP was a fun thing to see as a spectator and I hope it won't go away. | ||
