It is with great sadness that I report that GARIMTO, who's hard efforts could not make up the 4 years of absence, had decided to give up his attempt to return as a progamer. GARIMTO rejoined KTF after his army service ended, was appointed the team leader, and helped rebuild the KTF team.
It is with even greater sadness (and tears) that the only zerg to ever give KTF a Starleague championship trophy, KTFChoJJa, has also decided to retire during his long absence.
Meanwhile Sync has changed his profession to a trainer, and is currently undergoing coaching lessons.
Goodfriend, is reported to be up for trading discussions.
Meanwhile there has been no update on aQua. (who cares)
I will edit this when the interviews are up (they always do interviews when players retire)
GARIMTO Retiring - No surprise I guess, was too hard for him to keep up, I doubt he would go back to commentating though (TheMarine stole his spot). Maybe he'll be a coach. Chojja Retiring - Rek mentioned it, no surprise as he failed to give some decent results over the fast few months. GL on his future, was one of the more mannered players on the scene. Sync the Coach - Woo hoo! At least he is useful now. Goodfriend Trading - Who would want him though -.-. Maybe Hanbit because they have no decent Terrans.
Garimto retiring - bad for KTF; he was a good captain =[ and soaked up the captains curse JJa retiring - ahem.. FUCK T_T Sync Coach - interesting development.. although he was doing okay in indivs before he got dropped Goodfriend - let him goto soul Hwasin/Goodfriend/Kal/Shies; NOW you've got a team
1) GARIMTO. I hope he stays on KTF as a coach. He'd be a good addition to the coaching staff. Or he can do what HOT does and stay as 'player/coach'. I think his contribution to KTF has been quite valuable.
2) GoodFrienD. They're trying to trade him again? OK. I guess seeing him back in Pantech colours would be alright. I liked him, though.
3) ChOJJa. Very very sad about Cowboy zerg. I guess ACE will do better with him on the roster. Still, he wasn't doing THAT badly. I guess Haran/815 have replaced him/YellOw on the roster, but they don't have as much personality -.-
4) Sync AKA Blaze. Yeah, I had the suspicion his game against Flower would be the last ever televised Fireworks game from Sparks Terran himself. It's really a pity. Really fun to watch, his TvZ is.
5) Aqua - who cares. Kick off Hery while you're at it.
A lot is resting on Boxer now as being the "hope" of the oldschool players. I really hope he does succeed and gives hope to older gamers. I honestly feel bad for GARIMTO since he had a good position as a commentator, and was in a position to critique other Protoss user's play since he left progaming with 2 OSL titles. Now he leaves as a failed progamer, who couldn't even pass offline games.
I should think that Garimto will stay on as a captain or a coach. ChoJJa retiring is a suprise, big shame though. Guess he doesn't want to carry on playing. Thought he was the most good manner progamer out there, always shaking hands after a game, what a true sportsman.
In a way I am really sad..but in a way it's kind of cool to think about how far SC has come and how much they've done for SC..and how popular it still is now etc. Cheers to the four legends
Seriously stop talking trash about the pro-gamers who aren't top notch. Even Goodfriend and Aqua contribute to Starcraft as a professional sport and their presence, along with the other gamers makes the game as big as it is.
These guys would rape you over and over so stop talking about how bad they are.

We have every right to criticise progamers from a spectator point of view, stfu.

Yes, with GARIMTO and Chojja retiring, Sync becoming a coach and Goodfriend being traded, he is sure to commit suicide.....
As long as Reach stays in KTF, he might just find some solice.
Was trying to be anti-Romanian there. With the recent release of YellOw iCCup replays, I'm pretty happy to know he is actually still playing.
I just found another news by FiFo that will have show YellOw playing again.
I love Star on OGN, not sure what time though.
What's I love Star? I've heard it but never knew what it was or bothered to dl one. Is it fun like starbrain?
What MBC is doing is anothe Battle-Net Attack program. It starts Monday and they'll have 8 progamers. It's not limited to MBC Hero this time.
14th is Stork, 16th Midas, 21st Ra, 22nd YellOw, 23rd FBH (GO TO HELL), 30th AnyTime and 2 other ho haven't been decided yet for 28th and 31st.
Lol 2 things:
1) YellOw could make an ass of himself loosing to some random b.net user 2) Your hating on FBH is childish, seriously. It's not like you need to capitalize "GO TO HELL" everytime his name is mentioned.

I doubt YellOw would lose to any non-korean,he might not be at his prime but he's still a progamer and he won his game vs NaDa last year. Im pretty sure he's better then GoodFriend and Aqua

I don't see what's the big problem. Does it personally annoy you for some reason?
Chojja will be missed, I still remember when he was known as the progamer killer on b.net and those games vs boxer on LT. He really inspired me to love zvt.
Garimto is a CHAMP and will always be a champ, enough said.

Reach isn't, but Ra still inspires hope every now and then, so I dunno if he's a lost cause (although he's definitely peaked).

Srsly. Getting to the quarterfinals isn't doing good? rA isn't in top form but he's not downright bad like a lot of old timers.
KTF isn't completely gone, like LR said they're getting new talent... like Flash, Haran, and... uh..... Flash!

boxer? he retired before ACE was ever around. I dunno if HOT ever reached #1 and GARIMTO must have?
I don't think GARIMTO reached #1 on kespa due to the fact that we were all excited when Bisu reached #1 and it was the first time a Protoss got #1 spot iirc.

Don't think there was even a KeSPA ranking back then...
Yes I'm checking the KeSPA ranks, and the first ranking was November, 2001.
For 3 1/2 years, the #1 rank was held by a terran (BoxeR, NaDa, Oov). July was the first non-terran to take the #1 spot in April, 2005. And for awhile the zergs and terrans kept taking it from each other (Oov, NaDa, July, ChoJJa, and Savior) until Bisu took it and became the first protoss to become #1 ranked in September, 2007.
And it's been held by a protoss since then. (Stork and Bisu both took it from each other)
