Speaking for bwcl specifically, banning innocent people by error 5% of the time (or less) is worth it and has no consequence beyond a tiny delay, clan leaders can contact admins directly outside the server and if a clan member gets banned by mistake their leader can let us know and we d fix it. So it works well for our specific use case.
That being said,I understand that it might be more problematic for cpl for instance
