This is my 1001 post. I was intending it to my 1000th but Tofu stole it, appropriately enough in the Website Feedback Forum. I am not a gaming expert; ESPORTS drama fatigues me and whilst I have fond memories of BW I know longer play. The closest I get to being artistic is rearranging my bookshelf.
Despite the obvious lack of talent, I want to give something back to this community that entertains, fascinates and often scares me. So TL this is my contribution and if you don't like it

Website feedback
This post is about a sadly neglected corner of the TL universe. As with any other corner there are mounds of crappy posts, endless repitition and occasionally the dusty gem. Being a noob I've spent a long time reading old threads. After reading all 70 odd pages of threads in the Feedback forum, I would like to take you through some of the more interesting ones.
Decline
There are many themes that seem to never end on this site. The constant moaning about how new posters just aren't up to scratch. The influx of newbies has apparently sent TL down the sewer so rapidly that it is bound for doom. Doom I tells ya, Doom! The cassandra's of this place forever wailing about how it used to be in my day. Well, except for 2003, 2006 and 2008, TL has apparently been in a constant state of decline (2004;2005;2007;2009; 2010; 2011)
State of TL Posting Standard's Since 2003
Not that the Feedback forum started well. The sum total of Meat's first Feedback thread was
followed by Yo, fb and the surprisingly popular yo. But then things got rolling and we learned that Mani can’t spell but he wants to give and Rekrul wants a retard list. Perhaps most surprisingly someone ruined Stimey’s name, who would have thought?
Yes 2003 was a good year and breezing through pages from that bigone era you can't help but notice the flowering of mushroom clouds everywhere. It is no wonder that most posters that survived have some sort of coloured name. This was a time when Men were Men and Women were in the kitchen (more on this later).
Stimey Contributes
Before I start this, I want to point out that I was obviously not here when Stimey was. So it is not fair for me to poke fun at someone who cannot defend themselves. He was a very active contributer, at least in the feedback section.
In fact for someone with his reputation he had some interesting ideas. From what I have read he may have been the spark for the Automated Ban List. An irony sure but certainly a welcome addition to these parts.
Of course 2004 wasn't all about the strangely named one, we saw the birth of the birthday icon and a thread to keep for the ages.
One of the things TL prides itself on is its consistency in banning policy. Over the course of seven years you could expect some slippage in standards but if you wanted to know how to survive a martyr this is your thread.
Girl Problems
Aside from the inappropriate use of certain words, it is clear that Moderate Temperature is not a fan of the girl blogs. This led him to declare as much earlier this year. What isn't so clear is that this has been an ongoing problem. Not that everything is so serious.
Problem?
Saro is a GOD
There really shouldn't need to be a explanation for this, but some people don't take the time to appreciate what they have. So right now we are gonna take some time to say thanks to our lord of the monkeys, his awesomeness Saro.
A common phrase heard in the Saro household
Sadly, we don't see Saro around a lot anymore. Maybe he hides is places I don't venture. But what I can say is that I owe a lot to him. Also in 2006 we has some ban
changes and Hot_Bid had some fun.
Debate
If the preceeding years where the 50's with Naz playing the role of Eisenhower and Stimey the unhappy beatnik then 2007 was definitely the 60's. Things really got a shake up with the appearance of SC2 on the horizon.
Debate of the forums
We had debates on tech threads, blogs and a petition to bring back kitties. Hell, even Disapearing Countries got a go.
Despite this 2007 was a productive year with PoP effectively rebuilding TL and guides on the Website History and How to Contribute. We even learnt where naughty kids belong.
Some things do change...
I said I would come back to it, so here it is. TL has no doubt grown dramatically and with that some things have been lost. I for one am gald we would no longer tolerate this kind of stuff. It is just a pity that we lost a poster who was willing to do the right thing.
Alright, some more fun. In 2008 we also learnt that haji has a strange choice of search terms and Brood thinks we should be able to ask people shit in blogs. Threads can also go anywhere.
Perhaps most importantly we learned that yubee is not a fan of clowns
He may have a point
In amongst all this fun and games Sonuvbob made some useful changes.
The year of the Hot_Bid
Alright every year is the year of the Hot_Bid but I would challenge people to bring something as awesome as this. Admittedly it was hard for me to include other threads in the same section as nothing compares. However the cupboard would look awefully bare if I did so here is one on Veterancy and one on Smileys.
If you have to ask...
Kraken it up...
2010 saw the release of the SC2 beta with it the hordes of ignorant louse tramping all over TL's lovely flower bed. The were calls for drastic action but strangely there were hopes of improved posting but these were quickly dashed. The whippesnappers even had the temerity to question the ten commandments albeit in an odd way. There was a travesty which we will never recover from but also one of baller's greatest. Tofu brought us a very interesting I thread.
I didn't till I did then I couldn't stop..
Where to now?
Aside from the obvious, what does 2011 have to teach us? Well I learnt that Mani has a ban service. I also learntwhy Naz loves us. There have been attempts at comfort and attempts at murder.
There has been trolling andwizardry; irony and mods being just plain mean.
Through of all this I've learnt that no matter how long you look back in TL's history, it is the people that have defined what TL represents. It is always fun, welcoming and different. If you want more proof, I will leave you with the following to chew on.
