I'm a new TL-er since the release of SC2—played B-dub, but never was nerdy enough about it to check out the community, and I'm glad I have now.
However, one of the very first things any new Team Liquid member sees is the featured thread, 'TL.net Ten Commandments', which, although good rules, I'm surprised hasn't caused a fuss—it sure made me twitch.
I'm talking, of course, about all of the "Thou Shall"s. As any archaic English buff would back me up, the archaic second-person singular was "shalt". "Thou shalt read more Billy Shakespeare."
In the case of the plural, where "shall" would be appropriate, "Ye shall", as in "Ask and ye shall receive an officious lesson on declensions."
Am I barking up the wrong tree here? It's hard for me to believe that no one else is bothered by this.
