Her dad is very laid back and thought it was kind of funny/awkward. He plays WOW and is a radiologist and is a "nerd" according to my gf, which made it a lot easier than I expected. My gf said that he was trying to refrain from laughing while I was talking because he found it so awkward but her mom was extremely sensitive to the situation and was really understanding.
