Maybe because in their respective divisions BRAT_OK finished 6th, and iNcontroL finished 8th? Not sure though.

The stats page on nasl.tv is somewhat inflexible. If you remember way back in Week 1, MC was still stuck in an airport in Turkey and received a w/o. The resulting judgement is MC received a forfeit lost but was not deducted points, and Brat_OK receives a free-win and +2 points to his score.
The stats page seems to unable to reflect such a discrepency. Because of this, Brat_OK is actually 4-5 (-2pt) whereas incontrol is 4-5 (-4pt).

That could explain it, thanks. Formerly, I thought walkovers only counted as a win or a loss without any points to compensate the loser who hasn't actually lost and also not to unfairly put the winner who hasn't actually won at a further advantage through the points. But if it's just a statistics page discrepancy then the outcome of top 30 is comprehensible. I also thought iNcontroL may have voluntarily given up the spot to cast or that the standings in their respective divisions as mentioned in the above post may have been the cause, but your explanation works without trying to find solutions out of the system .
I doubled checked Xeris' numbers and found no foul play. I believe several others, including motbob, did the same. So we should believe Xeris, at least for this time.
iNcontroL has the unfortunate honor of being the lowest scoring 4-win player, which compound with the fact that there are a total of 31 players (not including the medical red-shirted TLO) players with 4 or more wins, means that he is the poor fellow that won't make the playoffs.
The games were pretty lame but I really enjoyed having moletrap and diggity cast, I hope that this is not a one time thing. Also eventually it would be nice if NASL eventually has some consistency in who they use for casters, my enjoyment of it varies greatly based on that (sorry gretorp) so it's kind of a crap shoot for me if it's worth tuning in or not.

I think moletrap mentioned yesterday that they will be casting this week, and incontrol and gretorp next week.
Ugh need beer for smartmaking.... can't someone make a nice graphic for this so it's easier to get a overall picture of what the hell they're fighting for and what happens when people win/lose?
MLG had some crazy rules and I didn't understand half of them but atleast the nice graphs made it easy to understand who would be playing who and somewhat why.

It has nothing to do with points or records, those just reflect your rank in your division, which is the only thing that matters.

It's not good for anyone involved... organizers, players, or spectators to have a system that lets a person intentionally throw a match to get in a more favorable group. For next season I hope the NASL considers allowing the winner of each match to choose their bracket therefore making the game VERY important rather than something you throw or forfeit.
I'd also like to see NASL do a better job keeping their site up to date. I see no reason someone can't take 5 minutes to update the stats after the broadcast. If NASL wasn't aiming to be the premier foreigner tournament I wouldn't care too much, but the flagship of esports needs to be well polished imo.
