inca rolled nada 3-0. if thats not an indication of class, u mustve been living under a rock all this while.
nestea was just on a different level. god mode engaged.

Does it matter? Aren't players supposed to be ready for anything?

Inca is definitely a good player, but Nestea just outclassed everyone this season, except for scfou. Set 5 was godly.

I was very dissappointed with these finals. Not because anyone cheeses their way to a win or anything, but simply because the finals were very onesided, and very anticlimactic.
Btw, WhiteRa would clearly win in a FFA by using his special tactics.

I think it's less to do with InCa ability but more with his awful PvZ, his PvP is godly and PvT solid.

This may be because OGS' zergs aren't as good as the ones from IM, so it could impact practice within the team.

Basically, Inca tried way too hard to catch Nestea off guard. Too many attempts at DT play, when it's apparent that Nestea is very resistant to them. Inca got stuck into a mental rut and it cost him dearly. It cost him a good fight, at the very least. Very stubborn play. Too bad. Maybe next time.

A 6 pool or cannon rush might be cheesy, but seeing a Protoss taking a risky expand and countering it correctly is hardly cheesy!

His third DT attempt made me gape at the screen.
It's like 'dude, he ALWAYS knows when you're going DTs. Are you actually trying to kill yourself?'
The second time makes sense. Like the first time it doesn't work so surely he won't expect me to try it twice. But if you get roflstomped twice... that's time to try something new.

You know, upon reflection I think that Inca was EXTREMELY successful.
I mean he seriously just trolled the entire SC2 community hoping for a decent series.

There hasn't been a good GSL final since season 2. MC crushed both Rain and July. Mvp crushed MKP (both times... except for 2 wins in the WC). And Nestea crushed Inca.
Get used to it I guess? That or watch Code A finals which are usually much closer.

Let me guess, you play Protoss? Imagine if you saw a Zerg hatch first, not mine gas, and only pump out drones. What would you do? You'd go f*cking kill him. Same thing, it's not cheese. NesTea saw Inca DT expand with a very low count of sentries. He made sure he was safe at his base against DT's and just went and f*cking killed him 3 games in a row. Not sure how this is misinterpreted to be cheese when it's a reaction to scouting information.

Possible but doubt it considering MC's pvz is godly.

You misread. I believe he was saying that Inca only beat nada through cheesy strats.

He's like a bad copy of MC I think he's the creative side of MC, where as MC has the skills (mechanic-wise) to pull off those strategies as best as possible. Could be why he's getting eliminated by "lower-classed" players, as the pair aren't devising player-specific builds against them. I couldn't find the word "creative" when I looked up Inca in the SC2 almanac, probably has something to do with him making dt's every game despite knowing Nestea goes for early spore crawlers. What build can he do then? Stargate expand? That get countered by the same build. Blindly doing 3 gate sentry expand and hope zerg isn't gonna ling/roach bust you? Attempting to 4 gate all in with that extra 20 secs, zergs will luls at you. Forge expand? We saw how nestea owned that with proxy spine and even if you go forge FE. You got no scout so how many cannons do you add? 7-8 to prevent a roach bust? If you add 7-8 cannons and if he just goes mass droning he is still ahead you just die mid game like 6 base vs 2.
you make it sound like roach/ling all-in is a free win vs protoss 3-gate expo. i've been doing it a long time ago vs 3-gate expands on close positions for maps like meta and LT. it's not a free win if they have great sentry control. alicia lost to it on terminus cus his sentries were caught out of position and he burned ffs before running back to his base (he even said so himself in post-game interview). a similar thing happened for idra vs socke in NASL on typhon. socke's army was out in the middle of the map prolly trying to apply some pressure. if you make shitty attack units like sentries to build up energy for the late game then u cant jus go walk into the middle of the map vs roach/ling.
dt is a good counter to the roach/ling all-in but i think 3-gate expands are still possible.
