I use something similar, I'm playing Protoss.
I changed 7-8-9-0 to Q-E-R-T. W is still warpgate.
I also changed basic and advanced building to Z and X which I might change back, but I'm getting used to it.
1-2-3 Army
4 Obs
5 Forge
6 Templar archive or any tech.
Q Nexus
W Warpgate
E Robo
R Cybercore > Stargate/Robo bay
With that setup I had to change quite a few things like probes, pylons, HT, Sentry, etc...
Some of the change(I'll try to remember them all by heart, but I might forget some.
S Probe and Pylon
D Sentry Immortal Storm(Both research and cast)
A Robo facility and HT
C Extended thermal lance
F DT and Templar Archive I think
I feel like everything is nearby and it really gives me access to 4 more control groups, it was tough to use 7-8-9-0 for me so i wasn;t as active as I wanted to with my obs and stuff.
Love it so far my macro got so much better overall and I'm not totally comfy with it yet.
What do you use for your Unit commands? How about Spells?
Great Hotkey Setup! For Protoss and Terran I think this may actually be the optimal setup (Changed from "Control 10" -0 to "Parallel Control 5" 1-5 and Q-T) as it leads to very crisp macro combinations. It also is very easy to control your units with. You can use Attack for Space bar and assign the other unit commands to something on the home row (Caps Lock - F/G).
Couple things. I would HIGHLY suggest using your mouse 4/5 buttons for something as they are so accessible.
Also for Zergs the Parallel Control 5 Hotkeys are not optimal as there are just too many options in the hatchery and thus your hotkeys become too spread out imho. For Zergs I prefer a Cartesian hotkey system.
For Random players its a judgement call. I use the Cartesian system for all three races as I feels right to keep the same hotkey style when switching between races.
