I don't know if she is really following SC2, but she is probably the best woman commentator out there, I think she can succeed for SC2 as she did for WC3. As far as IPL 2 I think only the top 3 from IPL 1 should be seeded to R32, while the guys from 4th to 6th position seeded to R64. All the rest should be through qualification. Bunny is a good War3 caster, but only a War3 caster, I'm afraid. She casted some BW games at Blizzcon and was completely out of her element. If she's not following SC2 very closely then don't include her, and I'm saying that as a fan of hers =)

Be assured though that many people at IGN are aware of this and are very excited! Daily fix link: http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/04/04/ign-daily-fix-040411 If you search proleague on the ign website it doesn't even appear on the search. I assume that as the event gets closer to happening, there will be a large post on the frontpage?

If that is any indication of what we are going to see from IGN in the future, the community is in for an awesome spectacle. Yeah I agree, love how much effort they are putting into SC2.

However, if we hired everyone that people really wanted to see, then eliminated everyone that people really didn't want to see, we would end up with 0 casters. We felt that from who was available and excited about our project, we ended up with a great mix of casters who appeal to different aspects of our target and potential audience. Really excited to see how these matches play out! Well said. I also think once the league gets started people will get over the heartbreak / whining a bit. I mean, despite the train wreck of MLG last weekend, there were still a ton of people sitting around, waiting, watching, and enjoying the games that were cast. There was a lot of QQ about Tastosis at first, too, and that's become a lot less common it seems. The casters will get better, the viewers will get used to them, and the quality of the games themselves will eventually be what people are really focusing on. Looking forward to it!

If it's successful, here's hoping that Day9 would be the staple and I think that would surely please the community.

It's a business, so of course people can critisize it as much as they please.

With that said, this first tournament looks pretty boring to me, not many great players and also not the casters I like (only wheat I can define as kind of good). I don't think I'll be tuning up for this. Good luck though, and hopefully the next season will be better.
