MKP's ceremony had no racist element. It had nothing to do with the Korean dominance in BW/SC2 because it had nothing to do with starcraft in the first place. Trust me, I'm pretty familiar with the Ddokdo dispute because I grew up hearing about it every day.

GSL World Championship is played up as Korea versus the world. Dokdo is the place where most GOM Starcraft 2 games are played at. so it's not a far stretch to call Dokdo as being Korean territory. So someone making a sign like that of one of the most controversial things between Korea and Japan is okay because most sc2 games are played there which obviously means it's Korean territory? I honestly doubt the comment was aimed at the foreigners attending the tournament considering the recent happenings between the two countries
I'm going to need to edit my original post. for some reason, I thought Dokdo was the name of the GOM studio which it is not.

Dunc, you can PM me if you want to talk about details of that dispute because this isn't the right place for it. If you don't even know where Ddokdo is, then just listen to me on this one. MKP's ceremony had absolutely NO racism in it. I would like to believe that you know what racism is.
It was obviously aimed at everyone who was watching the series. It was supposed to appeal to the global audience. Was it the most appropriate thing to do in a gaming tournament? That's up for debate, but it certainly did not contain any racism whatsoever.

jinro is smart. pretty soon Oakley will sponsor him.

Completely expected results. Order is restored I suppose.
Dimaga is playing amazing atm tho so he has a legit shot of staying in. TT1 has also been playing solid but if he's sick that will really hurt his chances since the competition is going to get tougher.

I mean what could have done against that with his build? Its not like he can just magically produce vikings out of nowhere. You need to 4 rax when you 1 rax cc. Terran cannot afford to tech AND expand vs protoss without some sort of tank/mech build without leaving themselves open to some 5-6 gate attack/4gate/dt rush/3 gate voidray/etc. If you defend too hard you lose the entire point of having the quick expansion and the protoss just expands and is ahead of you and rolls you.
This is the entire basis of me going mech, it lets you control space and its pretty good. Really fast phoenix builds are kinda sketchy and well timed carriers but thats about it. If you watch game 2, you'd notice there was a point in time where Jinro had about 15 marines and a Marauder, and Anypro had maybe 2 sentries and stalkers. That was his timing window, playing passively allowed Anypro to beeline straight towards Colossus, guaranteed loss from there. I was never a fan of no-gas fast expansion builds against Protoss, ever since Jinro was crushed by MC way back in GSL3, I've felt it has too many weaknesses. It's crushed outright by voidray zealot / 4gate sentry way too often. The proceeding transition into bio dies to the dreaded forcefield push (before stim), while an earlier mech transition leaves you with not enough for early warpgate pressure. My favorite build is something that uses marauders/conc shell, straight into expo and tanks. You take map control momentarily, denying scouting for a while and clearing the map of any hidden probes/pylons. Good example is set 1 of Alicia vs Supernova http://www.gomtv.net/2011gslsponsors2/vod/62461 Problem is you dont know what the protoss is doing, he saw 2 gateway robo expand. he could add 4 gates and make an immortal or something and if you try to attack there you get absolutely crushed and game is over. Or if he has 3 gateways you just split half the marines and warp in stalkers and maybe have an immortal and again hes owned. Its so risky to attack early vs P. If Terran go up to 4 rax, there's just no reason not to take control of the map, at least up until the watchtower. Take conc shells and bring more Marauders if necessary, to punish any stalker harass. It just doesn't make sense giving up map control to a toss that got a Robo and Nexus.
From there, you can easily scout the Protoss army. Probe with a marine up the ramp, and float a factory / barracks in. Determine whether he has enough army to defend (which he didn't, in this case), and either attack or just contain. Trading armies with a Protoss early game is good, their forcefields / sentries are key to any death push.
I don't like heavy bio against Protoss either, but if you do go bio, you definitely cannot be idle in your base with it. I think Jinro should just try making tank / banshee / raven or some sort of mech play work, it seems more fit to his style.

feel so bad for FA :/
but success and failure are so close together, esp in sc2. just hope he can keep his mindset up. he has shown his potential enough, if he the losses dont drag him down too much he will def swing back in full force.
whatever he does he will alwas be the humble gosuhero mod for me and many others. much <3 ~

Wish I'll see MKP becoming the number 2 player for the 3rd time. That would make him #2 behind 3 great players.

Well, but if he does not become number 2, he might be the no 2 of becoming no 2! :o (Actually no, but that would be a funny fact anyways.)

Seems inappropriate for mkp to try to shove a political issue into a SC2 tourny. Especially since the vods are all free in order to try to raise money to help Japanese tsunami victims. Bringing up the issue will only risk inflaming negative feelings towards either Japan or SK.

I feel really bad for Jinro and I hope that he gets out of the slump that he is in before the next GSL. Still rooting for the 2 foreigners that are left in the tournament as I would like to see them go far. After what Dimaga did in the team game I really want to see him win the whole tournament. Lets go Dimaga !
